GENTLEMEN: FOR GOD'S SAKE, WITH ONLY 9 COMMENTS, CAN'T YOU GET SOMEONE TO CORRECT THE TITLE OF "MARINES AND IWO JIMA". YOU PEOPLE HAVE "MAINES AND IWO JIMA".

PLEASE CORRECT THIS BEFORE SOME IWO JIMA VETERAN SEES IT.

God Blessings today and always. Thank you for the courage you

gave to us on this day.

Our children's children need to learn by your example and your courage and wisdom.

My Father was 19 when he landed on the 2nd day on Iwo Jima. He never talked about what was happening only the pride of his fellow Marines. I've printed this article and will let him read it this afternoon.

To all the men who put their lives on the line during that seige,so that ALL Americans can live in freedom, thank you! When you're called, "The Greatest Generation" it is so true. Your sacrifices will never be forgotten.

God bless all of you for your courage, bravery and love of country. Your lives bear witness of what all Americans should strive for in their lives.

I am proud to be a member of the U.S.MARINE CORP. Thank God for marines they are the best of the best. P.S. never use the term soldier when referring to the Marines . WE are Marines Not soldiers there is a lot of different.

Nothing will ever replace the battle-proven honor and respect these young at heart men earned with their blood, sweat, and courage. Their ageless sacrifice will be remembered by many generations even beyond this century, Lord willing. May God bless each and every one of them...both living and deceased and their families as well.

GENTLEMEN: THE THOUGHT I HAVE AS AN EX MARINE IS WHAT PEOPLE FAIL TO REALIZE IS THAT, AS ALBERT JOSEPH BEDARD WAS 18 YEARS OLD WHEN HE PARTICIPATED IN ONE OF THE FIERCEST BATTLES EVER FOUGHT: ALL OF THESE YOUNG 17-18 YEAR OLD KIDS IN THE SERVICE OF THEIR COUNTRY STAND READY TO DIE, IF NECESSARY, FOR THEIR COUNTRY. THE POINT IS,THEY ARE ONLY YOUNG KIDS DON'T FORGET THAT, JUST YOUNG KIDS....BLESS THEM, BLESS THEM.
