Now, as the tea-party movement (what bowel?) his (who is his) comments sparked; reaches into every political race in the nation...

Santelli inspired me that day, and I never had a political bone in my body. He said the tea party leader was the voting booth, us! Rick may not be the spoxperson for the tea party, but many of us listen to what he has to say everyday. Smart guy!

Talk about ahead of your time. Former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson (a Rep in a heavily Dem state) slashed the Governors staff by 15% on day one of his term. He reduced government in NM and left the state with the largest surplus ever. He vetoed more legislation in one term than did all of the other Governor combined. Let's hope he decides to run for Pres in 2012.

I hear alot of people whining about class war because the idiot in charge O-wah-wah ma has alot of people drinking his funny kool-aid!

Muser and Jim from OR will never have a clue because they think it is right for "government" to take money from earners. I read today that unions are down in the private sector by over 10% while government unions grew. Figure that! Take money from those who work at producing something and give it to unionised sponges. They never understand that it is taxation without representation that is bringing about their demise in these elections. OOOh it is to them about this party that or this party so and so.

DUMMIES! Boxes of rocks are insulted by yuor company!

Why would red blooded Americans listen to Rick Santelli? He doesn't offer valuable suggestions. How is he going to improve our country? Just imagine all the money people will spend to attend the Tea Party convention. The ticket cost is more than several months of beer for these people. What is on the menu at this convention? Nothing. What do these people expect to achieve from the convention? Nothing.

We have to take our country back or lose it.

and I'll tell you whether he is a suitable spokesman for the beleagured middle class. Or is the tea party movement really just a thing for the upper class---with lower-rung folks hanging around the fringes like groupies?

I agree with the last post. Santelli just threw gas on a fire that was already burning. He didn't start it, he just helped to spread it. The message is clear: less government, less spending. Obama talks about foolish Wall Street bankers taking excessive risk, and then he begins sinking billions upon billions of taxpayer dollars into the same banks and threatening the entire country's financial stability. Imagine what would happen if they collapsed now... He talks out of both sides of his mouth and doesn't even realize he's doing it.

And this is a common misconception.. because as you see, the tea parties were going on in 07, and 08 long before 9/12/09... but FNC and other news outlets did not want to report on them.

Here is an ACCURATE history of the tea parties. Santelli knew of them, and in his rant he said even HE would be willing to have one and that is how the people found out about them, already in progress.
