Obama’s State of the Union Addresses a Sick Nation

January 25, 2010 RSS Feed Print

The votes are in on how the nation views the state of the union, and the verdict suggests that President Obama ought to show up looking like a doctor when he gives the big speech to Congress Wednesday.

That's because a total of 52 percent of those polled by Synovate eNation for Washington Whispers view the health of the nation as flulike or near death. Just 2 percent say it's excellent, and 46 percent suggest it's on the comeback or at least not as bad as the miserable 2009.

Check it out here:

After his first full year in office, President Obama is about to deliver his State of the Union address to Congress. How do you see the health of the nation as he enters his second year?

  • Flulike: 34%
  • Not as bad as last year: 25%
  • On the comeback: 21%
  • Near death: 18%
  • Excellent: 2%

I think Pres. Obama thinks he can do ANYTHING..and the

American people will go along with it...Americans are waking

up to Obama.

His Stimulus Plan didn't work

Jobs have not come back

Obama focusing on Health Care..trying to Wram it down our throats,,when he should have been working on creating jobs.

I don't like his foreign policy on terror..he is weak.

Poor Obama.....HE CAN'T SLIDE ALONG ON HIS TELEPROMPTER

SPEECHS ANYMORE........

The WIN IN MASS........STILL WON'T WAKE HIM UP.......

The Independents (that voted Scott Brown in) are smart and tough. No rhetoric is the key to Obama's address to the union! All of us can understand numbers without a Harvard degree and the debt increasing this much in a year has come to an end. The change that will sweep/save America is that Independents have united and are diligent in doing their homework. We are ready for times getting tough; knowing that we will win in the end. It is time to stop playing politics and parties; analyze the issues and listen.

A quote from a Japanese newspaper after attending a POTUS speech; "Mesmerizing, but without substance." Who, at this point in the process believes that the "blah blah" has any substance ? What are the chances of commitments being carried through -- even to own party members. And as bad advice of the next patch of advisors is blamed (like is someone out there buying a pick up truck to drive to the next photo-op) for "0" jobs (expect 12% unemployment as a moratorium on spending for anything that hints of job creation is touted), we will be preparing for next years SOTU paying for healthcare we don't want or going to jail. This is not a healthy senario!-- especially for Democrats looking to be re-elected.
