Lee Hamilton, the former Indiana congressman who cochaired the 9/11 commission, was a sports guru long before coming to Washington: The high school and college hoops star is in the Indiana basketball Hall of Fame. So he didn't duck the debate over the Colts yanking quarterback Peyton Manning in the past two games the team lost to protect him from injury in Indianapolis's drive to the Super Bowl. "I am a Colt fan. I think the Colts did the right thing," he tells Whispers. "But we'll see in the next few weeks, for sure."
