Pollster John Zogby updates our weekly Obama Report Card with a grade on the president's performance. Zogby uses his polling, expert analysis and interaction with major players to come up with a grade and some comments that capture how he see's the president's week ending.

John Zogby on Week 49:

National pollster John Zogby gives President Obama a grade of B+ for week 49 of his presidency."Last week I gave President Obama an incomplete. But this week is one for the history books. Surely the devil is in the details but history will show that Obama and Congress are on their way to the first major overhaul of healthcare in 45 years and that the president successfully negotiated with China and other world leaders an agreement in principle on reducing carbon emissions. Sure, there is going to be lots of criticism and unhappiness, but this historian has read extensively about the criticism following the passage of Social Security and Medicare. Readers out there: Find me a tombstone with the epitaph 'He died fighting Social Security' or 'She opposed Medicare to her grave.'

This week's grade: B-Plus

Last week: Incomplete

Well, I am disappointed that no member of the previous administration is in prison (yet), but over all I'd say Obama is doing a good job.

We have yet to see a major overhaul of the health care system or a deal on carbon emissions; both are just "pie in the sky" promises that will lead to our ultimate demise.
