By Paul Bedard, Washington Whispers
There is some buzz in GOP circles that former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is strongly considering a 2012 presidential bid, very likely pitting him against former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. And the new George Washington University Battleground Poll has good news for both. For the first time in a while, Gingrich is seen more favorably than unfavorably, by 43 percent to 36 percent. And Palin's favorable ratings have jumped 4 points to 45 percent favorable and 46 percent unfavorable. OK, so it's not as good as President Obama's ratings of 56 percent favorable and 40 percent unfavorable. But it's loads better than Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's 18 percent favorable and 36 percent unfavorable.
