GOP Whispers About Investigating Obama, 'Climategate'

Most everybody here seems to think the republicans are part of the solution. They are almost as much as part of the problem as the jackass party. We have the best politicans money can buy. However, the collectivist elite have killed the once great democratic party, the party of the people. They occupy it's corpse like some demon parasite animating it. The Fabian Socialists/Communitarians are poised to distroy our country. The next step is to seize control of Heath Care that comprizes 1/6th to 1/5th of the national economy. This bill is not about healthcare for all people, it is about control. The Copenhagen Teaty and cap and trade is not about fighting pollution and saving the planet, it is about stealing your money and redistributing it. It is about making liars and crooks like Al Gore billionares. The finacial crisis was the responsiblity of both democrats and republicans. Community lenting ot the unfit began with Jimmy Carter. Deregulation is as much Barney Franks fault as it is Ronald Regans and company. We the American people are being lied to an having out money and liberty stolen from us. Impeach them all I would like to say. Saddly, reality dictates that the GOP may path to be our only possible way to begin to take back our country.

P.S. Yes, Janet of AL there is a smoking gun connected to the CRU and they are lying about, anthropromorphic climate change. Now if we could really focus on the problems of water and terrestrial pollution maybe we would have something...

If we don't see a MAJOR shift in the House and Senate next year, I for one am looking for another place to call home because it means that I am surrounded by fools who forgot History.

Sad fact is that I'm not sure where it's safe to go...but then again even England is starting to turn back conservative after their skirt with "Nanny-State" Socialism.

DON'T waste OUR money "investigating" and playing "Obama style Chicago Politics"....Just repeal and impeach for GROSS negligence.

We can't afford 2 years of "lame-duck" , too much damage has taken place under the Obama-Reid-Pelosi Trilogy and repair MUST begin ASAP!

I love this country and hate to to see it go down this way...due to OUR own people's stupidity.

DID YOU VOTE last November?

Investigations and Impeachments.... two major steps to fix this mess. We cannot get smothered in this hole of deficit and destruction. The hole is getting too deep, the corruption is beyond out of control.

Look foward to dems losing mega seats and we can restore America and the constitution.

The bad seeds will be cooked and discarded, can't wait...America the beautiful is not gone, just being temporarily harrassed.

Last week on Fox TV, Jeff Stossel was being interviewed by Bill O'Rielly. O'Rielly asked Stossel point-blank if there was a "smoking gun" in the hijacked CRU e-mails. Stossel replied point-blank that there was not. Stossel explained his researchers have been interviewing scientists and they conclude there is no "smoking gun."

We cannot govern our selves with a one party system in total control. I am not a fan of either party (there are crooks on both sides), but a counter balance has to be put in place, or the majority will continue to run amuck as they have clearly demonstrated this past year! Neither seem to have the best interest of the population at heart, but at least when we have a counter balance, they are going after one another as opposed to the innocent population!!

The left has been either doubling down on stupid or quietly realizing that it’s coming apart at the seams. We either hear nothing from outlets like the CBS, NBC, ABC and other major players for over two weeks (Must still be chewing on that crow) or we get fed some bit that the act of the hacking is more important than Al Gore's 20 Trillion dollar lie. The scientists at NASA have had 2 years since Freedom of Information Act requests have been acknowledged by them. Just like hacks who destroyed raw data at the CRU, so nobody else could try to replicate their manipulated results, I'm sure Hansen and team are getting everything ready to cover their own asses. Meanwhile, commie followers are telling us not to look into it anymore, that there is nothing happening. Talk about deniers. Sheesh.

The only respect I have for that unqualified resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is his ability to fool so many people. He's a dual citizen (even IF he was born in Hawaii) and was raised anywhere BUT in the American mindset.

Republicans were up against a "perfect storm" in 2008 and Obama won by a few points. Now Democrats are seeing indicators that the big "wave" of popular opinion that "sloshed" up against Bush, an unpopular war, and a bad economy could "closh" right back against Obama, an unpopular war, and a bad economy. It's a long shot--but there's a real chance that the Democrats could be out of power in a year. Especially if eenough "Blue Dogs" are forced to choose between getting re-elected and staying Democrats--if the poll numbers keep running the way they are, a few "scalded dogs" might switch parties to push the GOP over the top after the elections.

Which means the scientific establishment needs to cover their backsides now. I'll bet a LOT of people are going through old emails looking for words that might be taken out of context. (If they aren't yet, I would advise it!)

I like the Jefferson quote below. It's fun to play the quote game! For instance, in response to the posted quote, Jefferson himself might have said:

" I hope we shall...crush in it's birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations which dare already to challenge our government to a trial of strength and bid defiance to the laws of our country."

Sounds like a good argument for regulation to me! You could argue that Jefferson would also rescind the embargo on countries like Cuba and Iran:

"Commerce with all nations, alliance with none, should be our motto."

And clearly athiesm is fine:

" Question with boldness even the existence of a God..."

We should NEVER have gone to Iraq (or, for that matter, Mexico):

"Conquest is not in our principles. It is inconsistent with our government."

Bring back the draft!

"Every citizen should be a soldier. This was the case with the Greeks and Romans, and must be that of every free state."

And he was SO not Ayn Rand:

"Experience demands that man is the only animal which devours his own kind, for I can apply no milder term to the general prey of the rich on the poor."

Good thing for the right-wingers Thom was in charge in 2003:

"I abhor war and view it as the greatest scourge of mankind. "

The 10 Commandments on public property? I guessing not:

"I do not find in orthodox Christianity one redeeming feature."

It's funny how conservatives fixate on one facet of something...at the total exclusion of all else. I'm guessing the person who quoted the below Jefferson piece has never actually read Notes on the State of Virginia or his other writings. Jefferson was an intellectually complicated man, and reducing his work to Fox News-esque sound bites is not only a disservice to that intellect, it's what poker players would call a "tell" in regards to the intellect to those whom would do so...

Interesting. After the GOB wasted millions of taxpayers dollars "investigating" Bill Clinton's humm-job the the Democrats...upon gaining control of the Hill and then the Whitehouse...were more interested in passing legislation that helped American families and repaired the damage of the Bush debacle. Now, after less than a year of far more positive gains than the eight years combined of Bush...the GOP is already more interested in "investigating" the Dems again.

It seems like they're more focused on finding fault in the other guy than in finding goodness within themselves.

Could it be due to the fact that their entire worldview simply HAS no value...and therefore they have nothing more to offer the American people? I sure haven't heard a single idea more complicated than "drill, baby, drill."

The Republican Party is intellectually bankrupt. And it shows.
