Pollster John Zogby updates our weekly Obama Report Card with a grade on the president's performance. Zogby uses his polling, expert analysis, and interaction with major players to come up with a grade and some comments that capture how he see's the president's week ending.

John Zogby on Week 40:

"We found a slight dip back under 50 percent in our latest polling of Obama's job approval, with slippage coming from Democrats, Independents, and the under 30 First Global(tm) generation. His deliberations on whether to send more troops to Afghanistan are leading to impatience and doubts from many quarters. On healthcare, liberals want him to come out forcefully for a public option and put some pressure on Democratic senators who stand in the way of achieving what has become the left's litmus test. His trip to New Orleans seemed to backfire and substantiate some people's accusations that Obama is all talk and little action. We'll see if the administration's announcement to limit executive pay at banks that benefited from TARP will be a hit with voters.

Grade: C+
