Joe Biden's Official Picture in Federal Buildings

By Paul Bedard, Washington Whispers

There's been a lot of chatter in federal agencies that the official picture of Vice President Joe Biden has gone AWOL, missing from its place beside President Obama. But there's no conspiracy to hide Joe. It just took a bit longer to get his picture printed, and now it's showing up in federal buildings. The veep's office, says a spokeswoman, looks "forward to seeing it up in many more lobbies soon."

Clarified on 09/11/09: An earlier version of this story implied that the vice president personally looked forward to seeing his picture in the lobby of federal buildings. The vice president's office is looking forward to seeing the pictures.

I am a combat veteran of the Vietnam war and on my last visit to the outpatient VA clinic in Morristown, Tennessee, I noticed there was not a picture of our Commander and Chief of the United States military. I inquired as to why there was not and got no response. I then called the VA Rep. here in Morristown and ask and he told me after me asking him about getting a picture over there, that was not his department and ask me why I was concerned about it. I find this unacceptable as this is a federal building. There also is not a picture in the local Russellville, Tn. post office. I find it unacceptable that they had picture of previous president and not our present president. This shows no respect for our current president or the respect of the rights we have to vote for the party president of our choice and not have his picture displayed.
