Zogby: Even Democrats Now Down on Obama

Pollster John Zogby regularly updates our ObamaMeter. Each week, Zogby uses his polling, expert analysis, and interaction with major players to come up with a rating of between 1 and 100. The ObamaMeter, however, is not simply a poll-generated job-approval number. Instead, the Washington Whispers ObamaMeter is his judgment on the performance of the president based on multiple factors.

"The president may have come back from vacation, but he is a long way from being back in stride. His poll numbers are at a record low, and our polling shows a double-digit loss in Democrats who approve of his job performance. The number of Americans who say the nation is heading in the right direction is also down. There are also great doubts about adding more troops in Afghanistan. Obama is suffering from a combination of being off his message overall and having no message that connects on healthcare. He seems to have finally given up on reaching any deal on the issue with Republicans. Obama has a tall order to get his presidency back on track."

This week: Drops to 69

Last week's rating: 72

I understand that this message will probably not make it any where near you and will more than likely end up in the trash or on some staffers’ desk with many others. Nevertheless I still must write this.

It is not the policies that you endorse that concern me, sure we need some health care reform and that is not in question. What is in question is the ultimate direction that this government is taking. My government is by the people and for the people yet politicians and I mean both sides of the isle, seem to be in it just for their own careers and their own goals. This is not what the founders wanted.

I am tired of it and frankly until government can get back to its roots, so to speak, the citizens of this great country are going to continue to be vocal. Mr. President, Joe Wilson speaks for the country, albeit with poor judgment as he did last night, nevertheless he sums up what the country supports. Citizens of this country no longer trust its leaders and that needs to change. You only can fool us for so long; this country is becoming divided, not down the middle, but against its own government.

Mr. President you speak of change then tell its leaders to stop telling us what they are doing and sincerely ask us what we want. That is how it is supposed to be; representative of the people. We simply do not believe in you or our other so called leaders anymore.

Americans are angry and unhappy with the hateful rhetoric from this administration and the liberal society in general. This Czar position will also be a major contribution to Obamas poll falling numbers. This Disgraced Czar Von Jones story is the continuation of the hate spewed by the dysfunctional Democrat party. They will continue to excuse the polls when they are not in their favor, hypocrisy.

Are you the a child this tit for tat from a grown liberal man is really ridiculous.

The dropping numbers of Obama are expected and deserving of this radical President. His failures are across the board from spending, lying and socialism. He has no chance to recover. Partisan corrupt Chicago politics do not work in Washington. He will be a one term President. Send all these liberals packing in 2010, with Kennedy gone it will only get better.
