Health Care For The Rest of Us

Health care, a major element of our economic heartbeat is stressed! My Loose Penny Program, a capital injection, will start to repair our muscle, but mission critical diplomacy is required.

The president needs to bring our fast foods, supermarkets; Target and Wal-Mart CEO’s to the Rose Garden, to ink the deal. Barack Obama went to Cairo. He can meet with KFC. Our pocket change can make the critical health care diff rinse.

Every chain must participate in our Loose Pennies Program, regardless the size of their enterprise. Our purpose: an additional two-cents in their cash registers. For every item registered we want two pennies extra, tacked as patriotic gratuity.

This is not a government mandate. A patron can refuse to pay the voluntary two cents. Burger, fries and a drink total six extra cents, pennies off the pavement. Regardless what we purchase at the market; we are only pitching in some loose change out of pocket. 40 items at the supermarket could easily add up to $150. Does 80 cents inhibit your generosity?

A worker chosen by the workers to represent them can meet with the managers to approve the total pennies for everything out the door the week before, dividing that total by everyone’s hours worked.

Then we include up to $2 dollars extra for every hour in the worker’s paychecks. We could deduct 5 % for a medical mal-practice pool, but employers are exempted from matching, so sticker prices won’t be raised to cover any additional cost of doing business. Fast food chains and supermarkets won’t be harnessed by charges from our two-pennies program!

The worker’s pay raise doesn’t come out of management’s pocket, but work place production will increase. When someone quits, the crew might ask the boss leave them to pick up the slack, so they earn more money!

The overage, beyond $2 dollars hourly extra in every pay, goes to interest bearing medical savings accounts, with the worker's name on his or her portion. President Obama can ask everyone on the low end of the economic chain to divide their bounty, or he can order the take home half in cash, with the balance going to grow their medical savings accounts.

The medical savings account, as a health care solution beats health insurance! Insurance companies are dedicated to making money, not protecting the sick from financial disaster. When an insurance company cancels your policy because you have an expensive disease, they don’t refund your premium. But with a Health Assurance Savings Account, when you quit or get fired from the job, your medical savings account goes with you!

After a year behind the fast food counter, a 40-hour per week worker could have more than two grand in their Health Assurance account. What everyone needs to realize now, is that you can't expect republicans to propose solutions right now. They just aren't capable of figuring out solutions to problems. They argue, they yell, they complain, they feign outrage, but the republican party of 2009 just doesn't have the ability to figure out solutions. And we ought to quit expecting it for a while.

1) Include health care coverage for all people from conception until natural death, and continue the federal ban on funding for abortions;

2) Include access for all with a special concern for the poor;

3) Pursue the common good and preserve pluralism, including freedom of conscience; and

4) Restrain costs and apply costs equitably among payers.

Abortion is not Health Care.

Abortion is slaughter of human life.

Abortion is not Love.

Good post not much name calling and you stated the facts the way you saw them.

We the people have not bean all that generous or we just did not care. The politicians did not get many letters or phone calls, in fact if we were generous it is staying out of there way so they could figure things out on there own.

I am a smart man not educated as much as most, You are probably a very smart man and a lot of people we know are smart. But we all have different ideas and different methods of doing the same thing. The great thing about a democracy is debate. With proper debate we can learn and adjust. My idea may not be better than yours but they might improve on them or I might learn something I did not know. But debate in our city counsel chambers and town halls cannot happen unless we show up,

Competition involves a loser and a winner and can be good in the right situation but has no place in politics. Because America either wins or loses no matter of your party.

If every body is trying to out do there neighbors who is going to run our nation the politicians who are competing with one another?.

20 years or more the republicans and democrats in the house and senate hasn,t propose a health care plan.Now both houses are held by democrats,the republicans and some democrats know a health care bill will be passed.Members of both houses are receving money from these insurance companies not to pass President Obama health care bill.I would like to remind you, President Obama,a good basketball player always want the ball in their hands when the clock is ticking down the final seconds,you are on the foul line one tick left, you sank the first shot too tie the game,the second shot you must make to win the game.Your opponents{republicans and some democrats} called a time out to ice you.You return to the foul line,you take a couple of bounces, with ice water running in vains,you calmly sank the winner basket.I for see you doing this,Wednesday evening 09-09-2009.The health care bill is fair for every American.

I think talking about cost is important. Obama had said he wanted reform which is cost Neutral. In other words, a health care plan that does not increase the deficit. And I'm all for taxing those making over $250,000. The Dems have a provision in the bill that Won't tax small businesses with payrolls less than $250,000.

The Bottom line is, I think it's Great that everyone will have added choices to health care insurance than just their employers plan. Yes.. we Need a Public Option which is the ONLY way people who can't afford health insurance will have health insurance, And.. force insurance companies to offer competitive rates and plans to employers! Don't be fooled...the insurers aren't going to want to lose their current clients(employer sponsored) and will offer employers a Better Deal!!

It’s all so simple, all I need is the same quality health care

The politicians in Washington D.C. receive, Iron clad guarantee or a Constitutional amendment that those same politicians experience the same quality health care that the average American endures and any changes to the amendment that benifit the Politicians quality of care or health must also benifit all Americans. One more thing read the Preamble to our constituting and focus on the meaning of what you are reading do a comparison of what was promised and realize how far our politicians, Democrat and Republican alike have failed us. We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. Politicians work for us. I feel we have been more then generous for far too long.

The problem with this approach is that Republicans have proposed a number of plans, none of which, to my knowledge, make all Americans agree to buy really awful insurance they can't negotiate or refuse once they see its final form. (And the outlines of the policy the government is designing are not what most would choose for themselves.) Republican plans for individual health savings accounts giving the tax benefits to the individual, not the employer, would actually drive costs down, as ObamaCare does not, and that was supposed to be a driving purpose of this, right? Surely it is the only reason Americans would see to change their OWN plans. Adding a plan for preexisting conditions that states could opt into for that pool of people is one thing. Taking individual control of health care and insurance away from those who already have coverage is never going to be acceptable.

Health Care Insurance (now a monopoly of big insurance companies) is also the goal. Reducing the size of malpractice is not the way to rid the system of inept doctors. Those who have insurance are not out of a job, or in a parttime job and unable to afford insurance for their family. And then there are the millions of retired on Medicare that have to find affordable supplementary insurance. All should read more and think on your feet, and start talking to people and watching less media coverage (who's advertising is 70 percent paid for by insurance and drug companies.
