GOP Pollsters: Democrats Won't Lose Big in Midterm Elections

The deliberate ruination of America is unforgivable. We were able to provide hope and opportunity. Our own people took a back seat to many foreign nations in need. Now we are being forced to sit on the ground with nothing to show but a debt.

I mean no disrespect to the office of president but Barry deliberately made a fool of many with his lies. He manipulated as smoothly as I'd expect from an admitted doper or bag man for the gang. Americans do not owe for anything that is past history. (HIS STORY) To give compensation for the sins of our fathers to those who are actually better off than most is retarded. MY STORY is we all mind our business and get along and tell that con artist Barry to get the heck out the way so we can fix things up before our military gets back and has to see the mistreatment American citizens are being subjected to daily and apparently premeditated.

To listen to the ongoing liberal hate talk blows me away. Bush is gone, accept it and move on. What is happening now with whacko Pelosi, Reid and BO is the lefts baby...OWN IT! It will be your undoing because the Left cannot intelligently govern. They always overreach and will continue to do do now until the election gets closer. Then all but Rangle will rush back to the center and attempt to remake themselves in the image of the candidate messiah. I don't believe the people will be fooled twice especially those with Blue Dogs.

As long as the GOP continues to be represented by Hannity, Beck, Limbaugh, Palin and crazy ranting birthers, gay haters, -etc. I will never, ever, ever, ever return to the party. Seems the GOPers already elected can't come up with one rational idea or plan. They're a very lost bunch. A whole lot of X Republicans feel the same way. The GOP has lost its collective mind.

Mr Obama won by 53% in November.

63% of registered voters appeared at the polls.

SO...32% put this man in office.

Roughly the same 30ish % that still seem to support this man and HIS vision of America.

THE OTHER 68% of US SAY NO!

Everyone seems to be missing a fundamental fact:

The Government's JOB is to provide opportunity...

NOT PROVIDE!

ANY Congressman or Senator who continues to ignore their constituants WILL be removed.

I'm a white, middle aged, male. I voted for Obama and I'm glad I did. I'd do it again in a minute. What you deceive yourselves with is that there are large number of people who WANT someone like Obama. They ARE AMERICANS, just like you. If you would like to discuss your issues with the admin, then lets do so. Possibly we'll just have to agree to disagree. But making wild claims and threats, does you cause NO good!. Argue your points, or go away. The silliness is not helping you. If you want to change America, then do it with some intelligence. If you cannot convince a majority of Americans your ideals are the best way, then YOU LOOSE. That's it. Try to "overthrow" the Admin, and you'll be running from all of US who WANT change, and you will LOOSE again.

Lastly, I had to live through 8 years of your chosen redneck war criminal. It stunk and I did not like it. Well, get used to it. Come up with some "solutions" to HELP people, and you may win back some power.

DeeToo-Mmmmmmn Kool-Aid?Thanks anyway. How much indoctrination have you had over the years? And so now you have been instructed to patrol cyber-space and pass out the Kool-Aid to those who "thirst" -right?Then of course it stands to reason that the evil bloggers like yours truly(who frighten the sheep) ,will be traced to our lair -so that ultimately , we may fill the tumbrels as this neccesary purge gains momentum.Think again. No one in history has tried do as much in so short a time frame you say-except Stalin. As far as Obama suddenly enlightening or inspiring innovation in design/production of energy efficient strucures & building materials, that has been going in earnest since the 70's at least. No DeeToo ,your "Mr. Smith"(forgive me Jimmy Stewart)is closer to the High Priest in Apocalypto"-keeping one eye on the naturally occuring eclipse and the other on the masses cheering the severed heads as they bounce down the pyramid steps. To be blunt ,if the Democrats don't take their jackboots off the American Taxpayers neck -Rep.Waters-are you listening?- the tumbrels will have new cargo...

It's always funny to watch arrogant Republicans recieve their comeuppance, which they will do spendidly in 2010. I will bet anyone $1000 the Republicans don't take back Congress.

"When the US wakes up to the damage that the Democrats are doing, it is my opinion that there will be a large shift to Republicans."

If the rest of US has a memory as short as yours, then I'm sure this will come true.

it's typical in a mid-term election where one party has a majority.

But Muser is right. The president and the Democrats can avert losses if they pass major legislation that forwards the agenda they were elected to complete.

No one has ever tried to do so much in such a short time. Obama is hard for the ill-informed to handle, as he jets from one huge topic to the next. But he is right to do so. Congress has ben sitting on their hands for a decade in some key areas that will do damage if not fixed. Healthcare, energy policy, and regulating unregulated financial services. All of these are defended by huge lobbies worth billions that are not shy about lying or spending millions to fight changes.

But Obama must stay on track and fight hard for what is right. He often said that it wouldn't be easy. But I dont' think he realized how many weak knees would surface when big money and influence circled the wagons. He must continue to reinstate a decent regulatory structure in our financial markets, get a grip on the healthcare greedies, and change how America views energy.

Obama is winning on the last one - even though some legislation may not roll through like he would like. It is suddenly cool to own a small car with high mpg, a green car that is maybe a hybrid, toss a clunker, the big SUV's are less obvious already, less fuel is being consumed, and oil markets are not controlling consumers as much right now. Intelligent conversations about wind, geothermal and solar options are added to those already made for nuclear and coal and gas - something the Conservatives tried to silence every time it was brought up 10 years ago. Global warming is now accepted - even if everyone differs on what causes it. Builders are using better windows, better insulation, and living closer to work is more popular.

Obama has changed the energy conversation in general - much to the chagrin of the Right. Some oil and energy interests are fighting back in a sneaky way, though. They know they can't win directly discussing with Obama, so they are financing PAC's whose goal is to undercut Obama and put him out of office so they can control energy again. They were found out, though. One is under federal investigation....

The Democrats can hold their position if they find a way to keep their coalition together. It is not just for Obama to do. Congress must do it as well. The public gives a very low rating to Congress - usually because they are viewed as getting rich off the taxpayers and also doing nothing for the public.

So - Congressional Democrats - get it done. Pass the bills. Make a difference. Take the high road. Stand for truth, no corruption, no hypocrisy, and for the re-vitalization of the middle class. Speak boldly, firmly, simply. Do not lie, cheat, steal, or say only what you think others want to hear. Believe in what you do, have a generous heart, and you will not have a problem with re-election.

DeeToo of SC 4:22PM September 01, 2009

They can pass strong health care reform with a public option by 60 Senate votes, by "reconciliation" (or by the nuclear option) and hold onto power with their approval ratings going to the moon.

Or, they can waffle around and compromise too much, or fail altogether, and lose their seats. This doesn't require wizards to predict with certainty.
