Why is a mother who claims to live to protect her children from media attention writing a book? This is revolting self-promotion. What can a discarded wife who won't let go of her obviously disinterested husband have to say--that is useful--to anyone? That she is morally superior to the man who dumped her? This woman moved her sons away from their school and friends to use them to punish their father--presumably to get leverage to get him back. I am a woman and a mom the same age as Jenny and she seems desperate and pathetic. If she wants dignity, please stay out of the media and lick your wounds in private.

I feel that it is none of my business and I do not like to see the hurt in his wife's face nor in his, a mistake is a mistake and it should be between the two of them, this is what I said when the big adue was on the Clinton's. I don't like to see people hurt and I don't like the nosey news that is published.
I do not like to see the children hurt by what nosey people say and write. It is a private affair, between him and his wife. Don't make a mess of their lives it is hurtful enough.
Enough is enough. STOP STOP STOP.GOD is his judge, not you nor me. Leave it alone and let them work out their marriage, this is the way it should be.

It seems true . . . Mark Sanford is pretty stupid, but I don't think he's that DUMB. Maria in Columbia, at the govenor's mansion, meeting the parents?! Too much imagination.

A poster at the State newspaper website provides more confirmation on the Mark Sanford-Maria tryst that was reported first by fitnews.com. Maria Chapur is indeed here, and Mark Sanford is indeed on another "vacation".
"Swirling talk that Mark Sanford and Maria Chapur travelled together to Panama City, FL late Thursday night.
Sanford took private transportation courtesy of a close friend and left the mansion under cover of darkness last night with Chapur who is said to have been in Columbia staying at a Sanford's loyal friend's house since Monday this week.
Sanford and Chapur are said to have spent the weekend at the Sanford family plantation house in Coosaw and that Chapur has been formally introduced to Mark's mom.
Chapur is spending time with Sanford prior to his reporting for reseve duty tomorrow and Sunday. They will also be together for most part of Monday before returing to Columbia in the evening."
Chapur came in to the US via Miami.

As far as we know, she is not toting her own baggage to this episode.
The short version of the book could probably go like this. When Mark acted as though he had "married" the co-residents of that "family" house in Washington on C Street and "shared" a bunch of stuff with them that should be reserved only for pillowtalk "fellowship" with the real wife, he subsequently went nuts. All downhill from there.

see the following...this report is from a blog by Will Folks, Sanford's former spokesman...she has been in S.C for a few days ..there are also direct flights from Miami to buenos Aires and Sanford has gone to Miami on reserve duty.
