They're selling their office furniture and subletting their space to pay the bills. The subscription paying public has spoken on the credibility of the NY Times Co.

The GAO can certainly make a factual statement about the legality of the so-called "PR" program. Hopefully for them, the Supreme Court would echo their interpretation.

On the other hand, what is 'ethical' is still debatable, and I don't recall any government institution empowered with a final decision about this aspect. That is still, and always will be in our country, a question open to the public. So, media headlines declaring otherwise ("Program Is Legal and Ethical") are ridiculous.

Most of the military pundits were AGAINST the Iraq conflict, which means they were alao against Bush policy.CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, CSPAN ect, The only exception might be FOX News, which ran it's own version of the Generals on Parade scam. Get a life, Bush ain't in the photo anymore!

My guess is that you will never see this item in the New York Times. It is getting to the point where they are pretty much the same as MSNBC...fiction and entertainment, but certainly not news.

Time for a new masthead motto? "All the news that's slanted to fit, we print."

Gee.

I wonder now just how many more "illegal and immoral" actions by the Bush administration will be delcared A-OK after all?
