There's a false notion out there that Democrats are scared to death of Palin. Actually, her nomination would be a gift from God to the Democratic Party.

Sure, everybody likes a folksy gal who can gut her own fish and skin her own bears. But what we need in a President is brains, and that is where she comes up short.

Palin is great at throwing red meat to the radical right. But she hasn't shown a capacity for doing much else, and people are going to realize that when they actually have to pull the lever.

THE PEOPLE THAT SUPPORT PALIN NEED MENTAL HELP OR HEARING AIDS SHE MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL GO HOME TAKE CARE OF THE MESS YOU HAVE WITH YOUR KIDS

You can't even let the woman resign in peace.

Obama give a prime time speech the other night. He was incoherent, rambling on and on and boring as hell. He was everything that the MSM claims Sarah Plain is. He was so bad the MSM didn’t report anything about the speech.

Obama polls numbers are sinking like a dead fish and the man is destroying our country but the clowns in the MSM are still concerned about bashing Gov. Palin.

But I can't blame the corrupt MSM because they are the ones that put that clown in the WH.

The American people are waking up to that.

Gov. Palin is going to be out of politics come July 27 but everybody is polling her and still writing hit jobs on her.

Expect the hits to keep on coming for the next two days.

It is funny thought, all the MSM is going to be in Alaska to cover her goodbye speech. People from all over are flying in to see Gov. Palin.

Expect the reports from the MSM to say Palin was rambling on and on bah, bah, bah.

Why?????

It is going to be fun to watch Gov. Palin over the next 2 years and from the look of things Gov. Palin won't hesitate to smack someone with a law suit.

You can't destroy someone that is one of us.

Yes, I am going to get my popcorn and enjoy watching this woman bring Obama and his thugs down to their knees.

Totally untrue. A recent poll showed that a high percentage of Republicans (70%) are for Palin, as well as about 45 percent of Democrats.

The route of the present administration is making her more popular every day.

Palin isnt ready for president...yet. She would be a good choice for overseeing energy and cutting spending. Maybe the next republican President will choose her for that. If Palin backed Romney, he would have a chance to win and could appoint her himself.

Dennis cHale of NY said @ Jul 21, 2009 16:32:04 PM: "In three months the state shell out two million dollars, and The Palins $500,000.00, just to set the record straight. What part of that is so difficult to understand, unless you are trying to spread falsehoods. At that pace the state would have laid out $14,000,000.00 and the Palins would have laid out $3,500,000.00 of the personal money. Yes, she could have gotten her supporters to give her that money..."

----------------------------------

Everything you said is untrue. The $2M has been debunked; the real amount is just under $300,000 in state costs, and 75% ($187,000+) of that was reflective of the complaint Palin filed against herself.

The funniest and most specious aspect about Palin's bogus claim is that Palin and her cronies are lumping everyday (literally!) media requests for information in with the costs of investigating the ethics complaints, as if they are somehow tied in together. They're not.

Palin's staff bragged that she'd received "thousands" of invites to speak and to appear, after her failed VP campaign. Along with that came thousands of requests for information, background, as the last few paragraphs of the above linked story indicate.

The "political operatives" Palin said had descended on Alaska last fall? They weren't Democratic; they were Republican operatives, some of McCain's campaign workers plus the Liberty Legal Institute, intent on cleaning up her e-mail files, the computer hard drives of friends and family, removing revealing photographs from state websites. James Dobson's Focus on the Family sent Palin a bill for what they did, instead of billing McCain's campaign. That's what's behind the latest ethics complaint about Palin's supporters' fundraising efforts.

From the comments here it is obvious that even those who understand exactly what is [and always has been] behind the ad-nauseum Palin-bashing are fed up with it and don't mind saying so. I believe that, if asked, the majority of those purporting to despise Palin and who continue to be part of the "hate" campaign against her would be hard-pressed to come up with "real" reasons as to why they hate her. This is not just my opinion-from everything reported by the MSM, to comments made by people all across America, it is obvious that the bottom of the "reasons to hate Palin" barrel has been scraped clean, and is now embarrassingly empty. The Palin-haters out there need to do a little soul-searching to figure out just what it is about her that they HATE so passionately-and why they care nothing about the truth. At a minimum, it's overkill on a grand scale-despising a public figure that you've never met is irrational and it's just not normal. The blind and automatic acceptance of all criticisms aimed at Palin on a personal level, of anything that would suggest that she performed her functions as Governor in a less-than exemplary manner, of any and all gossip "reported" relating to Palin's actions throughout the 2008 election campaign [which even the individuals who campaigned with her cannot seem to agree on],and the continued welcome with open arms of any and all unfounded "truths" as to the reasons for her resignation as Alaska's governor, all point to one thing. Palin-haters HAVE to accept anything and everything anti-Palin as truth-regardless of the source-it's the only way they can continue to hate her. People don't hate Palin because of anything reported by the MSM, or because of anything they heard from her during the campaign, or because of anything she said in her resignation speech. I believe that the majority of those who jumped on the Palin-bashing bandwagon really have NO idea as to why they hate her-they need to find the guts to ask themselves that question. Speaking of guts-To the MSM: Unless you come up with something of substance real quick, how about taking a break from your exhausting job of turning journalism into propaganda-try reporting the news-check back in 7 or 8 months to see how people feel about Palin then. You owe the people of this country-both for the "news" you did report and the REAL news you refused to report during last year's election campaign.I'm sure none of you are losing sleep over it-not yet anyway-but you should try to salvage what's left of your credibilty while you still can. At this point, trying to refuel the Palin-hatred machine is an exercise in futility-that's obvious from how pathetic your reporting on Palin has been since her resignation.[Reporting that was beyond pathetic to begin with.] Even those continuing to pretend that they are hanging on your every word are losing interest in parroting you. Your credibility is slipping daily-that's kinda what happens when the truth ceases to matter.

All of this focus on Palin is pathetic...it's how some lazy guy makes a buck by passing this off as news. It's not news, it's the tabloids, and it's not important.....indeed the attention given to Palin during the past few months is a waste of media time and money. Palin initially had my support but her lack of experience puts her in the same boat as Caroline Kennedy--someone who is good with regard to fundraising and speaking but not leading.

In any event these sideshows--and that's just what they are--are simply put up to distract people from the issues at hand. From Biden's statement that "the only way to avoid bankruptcy is to spend more money" (which is in all honesty, the dumbest thing I've heard anyone say about anything ever) to the 'proposals' to force the US to 'pay' for China's greenhouse emissions to the stalling and, ideally, defeat of both the cap-and-trade and healthcare bills in Congress, all of which are damaging to the administration. These 'stories' are also attempts to hide Obama's sliding support and the rising support of Mit Romney.

The post election talk about Palin has been dominated by that--diversions from the facts and attempts to keep people busy focusing on the non-issues instead. Whenever I see another Palin story, it just reminds me that journalism is dead. As the great German statesman Bismarck said "A Journalist is one who should reconsider their calling" and that is extremely apparent nowadays, although the bulk of the downhill slide started during the hippie era, c 1965.

What a wonderful hockey mom!

And that's about it; anyone would be nuts to give her a thought let alone a nut (and I'm with the squirrel vote here!)

Are you guys so dumb to see that she is just an attractive middle age lady who might possibly know where Russia and Canada are, possibly.

This country is lost as far as the rest of the world is concerned if she ever gets a government job again.

WAKE UP AMERICA!
