Don't be too surprised if you see Gossip Girl's Matthew Settle strolling around the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History while he's in Washington this weekend. He told Whispers that he's a big fan of one of the photographs being displayed there right now. "Here's President Obama looking at this portrait of Kennedy, and you can see the weight of the world on Kennedy's shoulders," says the actor who plays TV dad Rufus Humphrey. "It was such a profound photograph; it was like they were communicating through a painting." Settle loves it so much that if he gets to meet President Obama at this weekend's White House Correspondents' Association dinner, that's exactly what he would want to talk about. "I would tell him I love that photo of him standing in front of Kennedy," he says. The image is on display as part of the "I Do Solemnly Swear: Photographs of the 2009 Presidential Inauguration" exhibit and will be there until July 12.

Gossip Girl's Matthew Settle draws the attention of gossip columnists Kiki Ryan (left) of the Washington Examiner and Christine Delargy of Fishbowl DC at a Creative Coalition dinner hosted by Lani Hay and Mark T Smith.
