Dismiss the rumors. Neither AOL nor news is dead. The proof: AOL is jumping into news with both feet. Its latest venture is a site devoted to Washington, PoliticsDaily.com, that goes live Monday. "Most news outlets are a product in search of an audience. We have readers in search of a product," says editor Melinda Henneberger. Hers will be unusual in the digital age: old school, experienced reporters writing unbiased, long-form stories, analyses, and profiles. What's more, in a shrinking ad market, AOL's news site has a built-in audience and advertisers. "This is the part of the company that works," she says.

AOL was where it all got started, was it 15 yrs ago already? It seemed like a great service, fast, fun, and expensive.... then with growth and expansion, and upgrades... it just got worse and worse, until today it is a shadow of its former self. Why save this relic?

Not only they were trying to establish pretended links between Irak and Al Quaida through illegal and immoral torture,

but they also tampered with the pretended "evidence" of existence of Weapons of Mass destruction in Irak to also justify the war.

These two points SHOULD BE LINKED by a good writer like Frank Rich, please.

At that time, Americans were blinded by 9/11 and could not see through Cheny/Bush's manipulations --even when denounced. BUT NOW THINGS HAVE CHANGE IN AMERICA! Americans are definitively becoming more smart (except maybe 25% for ever lost to opening their eyes.

There is news for Mexicans. It's called something, something on Telemundo. If you were back at home, you would have known that (hint, hint).
