I appreciate all all C-Span TV channels. No commercials.

Served in the U.S. Navy with Brian Lamb. HOpe he keeps going for years.

Like 7-UP being the "uncola" Lamb continues to be the direct opposite of the chattering class that inhabits the vast majority of political television: his greatest asset is not knowing his opinion. With Lamb, one does not know what he's thinking about the person he is interviewing or the topic under discussion, a blessed relief from the windbags who call themeselves "journalists" (ahem, Chris "Spitball" Matthews, Keith "The Smirk" Olbermann, and Larry "I Knew Sandy Kaufax" King, listen up). And with Lamb, one is able to concentrate on the person being interviewed: he is a master of sticking with matter-of-fact rather than the confrontation and hysteria of faux interviewers looking only for sensationalism (i.e. ratings, ratings, ratings). It is always a pleasure to watch him regardless of the interview or topic: Kudoos to C-SPAN and congratulations to Brian Lamb for all his many years of service already and for years to come.

Mr. Lamb should never retire (I hope). IN my 63 years I know of no one broadcaster who has brought more to the the viewers. Period. Not Murrow, Friendly or Cromkite. Heck, not even Paul Harvey (wink). I have had the pleasure of meeting/talking to Brian at our local grocery store and he is quite charming and curious as anyone ever.

We all owe a great debt to this dedicated journalist/teacher and friend of every Joe, Jane and politician in the land.

Thank You for CSPAN!!!!
