Getting Drunk at the White House?

The first trip to a White House social event can be pretty unnerving. But that's not why there's an open bar at the events, says Jackie Kennedy's social secretary, Letitia Baldrige. In an interview, the manners queen warns visitors to the Obama White House to skip the bar, based on what she saw in the Eisenhower and Kennedy White Houses. "They would act up, just because they weren't used to all the alcohol lying around." Worse, some guests would show up sloshed. "They got all liquored up to get up the courage to go in the first place."
