You weren't one of the THOUSANDS of ticket holders who got shut out of this event. (I was.) Some travelled from across the country at great expense. Many were African-Americans excited to participate in a special moment in history. It is entirely appropriate for Congress to figure out what went wrong so it doesn't happen again. Besides, this was a hearing of the Legislative Branch Subcommittee - it's not like that panel was distracted from working on the economy of the war in Iraq.

but we had a huge and safe event anyway to inaugurate a historic president. For THAT we ought to be thankful---rather than launching a witch hunt over something that now does not matter much.

Congress has much better things to be doing.
