First of all, immigrant Latino/as do not "steal" jobs from anyone in the US; they work at jobs that US workers refuse to take because US employers want to pay slave wages to increase their profit margins. As well, every US worker thinks they deserve $50 an hour for any job they do, instead of simply earning a decent wage.
That is why every attempt to pass laws in Congress to penalize corporations who hire undocumented workers fails -- because moderate and conservative, White, fat cat politicians want to allow their friends who are the CEOs of corporations and businesses to continue to rake in huge profits. In fact, it is the CEOs of corporations who are "stealing" jobs from US workers! They "outsource" jobs to third world or other countries that allow them to get around minimum wage laws and corporate taxes, so that the CEOs can increase profit margins. If you want to blame someone, blame those who have the power t change the reality! Blame the rich White business owners and their profit motive practices.
To your second ignorant point, read the data on the US government DHHS website -- White HAVE ALWAYS BEEN THE LARGEST DRAIN ON THE US TAXPAYERS FOR WELFARE! This country is 75% White; there always have been and currently are WAY more Whites, having way more welfare children, and costing states and the US government money to support them. If you added up all the people of color on welfare today, it is STILL A SMALLER NUMBER than all the Whites on welfare today! KNOW YOUR FACTS! Since BIll Clinton passed the 1996 Welfare Reform Act, no undocumented immigrant (what people errantly refer to as "illegal") can receive ANY KIND of welfare in the US. We are taking care of NO ONEs children except those of our own impoverished citizenry -- and it is WHITES who by far have more of these children on welfare. READ THE DATA! KNOW YOUR FACTS. STOP BEING RACIST!
If you want change, them ask for productive measure. Ask for laws that penalize corporations for hiring cheap undocumented workers. But, then you'd better be ready to pay $5.00 for a head of lettuce and other produce, pay WAY more for your pork and chicken products, and pay way more for janitorial, hospitality, construction, and manufactiring goods! Because it is our exploitation of undocumented workers that allows us to buy things at such a cheap price!
I do get tired of ignorant, racist people and responses. They just spread hate and ignorance, when what we all need is a better understanding of the realities of the US economy, a better understanding of how for 500 years the US has ruined the economies of every Latin American country in the Western hemisphere for our own profit, and an acceptance of our deep dependency on Latin American laborers. When we understand those facts, we can really start to think through a good solution instead of spewing ignorance and hate.

Well lets see... They come over here take the jobs, have 4-5-6 kids, we pay for that. Oh wait a minute then we pay again for the child care to take care of the children while the parents go out and take our jobs.. Lets see do we see something wrong with that.. Where is our gov't that they would allow this to happen. Go to any Health Dept. all you will see are immigrants, so we don't know where they are! COME ON REALLY! Why are we just talking Mexico i think we have alot more illegal than just people coming from Mexico. If they want to come here have 6 or 7 children then the gov't should put a cap on how many we take care of. You don't see Americans having 6-7 children (no we can't afford them BECAUSE WE CAN'T GET THE HELP ALL THE MONEY IS GONE) WAIT WHERE DID IT GO? WE ALL KNOW THE ANSWER TO THAT..
OUR GOV'T NEEDS TO WAKE UP.......

Maybe if everyone would start to work together instead of petty people thinking they are better because they were born here,something could get resolved.As long as we seperate them from us,there will always be a way around it all.I think everyone should work together in finding a solution in a way that the ones that have a reason to be here(kids,wives,families)get their rights like they are deserved and the ones that do not a very strict sentence in both justice systems.Immigrants do not lower wages,employers do.They want to pay the lowest possible wage!Most don't even pay taxes on these workers!Everyone wants to spend less,but is not willing to know why or how.Study both sides.Not just your opinion,but remember these are people too and there are people over here aiding in all the drugs and guns,etc being passed over there."A day without a Mexican."Great movie and so real.Watch it and then maybe your pettieness will be replaced with knowledge!

So? They've proven time and again that they couldn't care less about OUR sovereignty, so why should we consider theirs? At least our government isn't publishing pamphlets on how to circumvent Mexican law. You don't see them scolding their nationals for deliberately breaking OUR laws (heck, you can't even get them to admit that these criminals are doing anything wrong!).
But you certainly DO see them in the halls of the American congress telling our lawmakers that the Mexican scifflaws should be allowed to break our laws with impunity, should in fact be REWARDED for successfully evading capture and for succeeding in lowering American wages.
We SHOULD have our military down there protecting the border. After all, isn't that one of the most important duties of any government, protecting the nation from foreign encroachment?

WHO AMONG US repudiates the fact that legalizing and controlling the use of ALCOHOL after those holier-than-thou days of Temperance resulted in the end of that illegal alcohol- (read: DRUG-) related terror?
COULD IT BE that Jesus died for an old sinner who yesteryear took a shot of bourbon .. but NOT for a young sinner who today smokes a joint? You mislead people calling it Mexican drug wars. Please call it the Mexican drug prohibition war. It is triggered by the new prohibition and fueled by offical lawlessness.
This unconscionable bloodshed is on the hands of leadership as much as those who pulled the trigger or did the actual butchering and torturing. It is a policy created problem. Remember alcohol prohibition which brought daily exposés of police and political corruption as well as bloody massacres! Not learning from past mistakes is a serious flaw in reasoning, unwanted in leaders.
All the unnecessary deaths triggered by our drug policies and terror policies are democide (death by government). Lawmakers fuel border war fire. These servants of tyranny play on our fears to make us more accepting of their waste of our precious lives and resources. How much more evil do we have to suffer before we abolish these insane forms to which we have become accustomed?
