Danny DeVito Wants to Share a Drink With Obama

If comic actor Danny DeVito gets his way, President Barack Obama and he might soon be sipping some of the icy limoncello elixir the star of Twins, Matilda, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia brews. DeVito tells Whispers that it would be a fitting end to the long presidential campaign and a special treat for the Hollywood backer of the Democrat. "I haven't given him one yet," he told me at the Philadelphia Flower Show, which ended Sunday. "I'm going to have to send him a congratulatory bottle."

He has been making his Danny DeVito Limoncello for a year, since appearing drunk on The View and blaming it on downing seven limoncellos with actor George Clooney the night before. As a result, DeVito received boxes of lemons and bottles of limoncello, and he figured he'd cash in on the publicity, good or bad. "We're having a lot of fun with it," he told me. He was a star attraction at the flower show, which had a "Bella Italia" theme this year. DeVito signed bottles of his drink, including one for Whispers—which we bought, of course.
