How convenient it is to only eat organic and serve organic when you are not the one paying for it!

while Organic may have been served in the WH the inability to announce and follow an intelligent decision which is not driven by Monsanto has not.

George W and Laura ate organic as much as possible during their tenure at the WH. A bit ironic, considering the Bush Adim's policies- but organic is not new to the WH.

just do a google! Two labels from my home county, Mendocino County, CA, Frey and Fetzer, make delicious organic wines. Around here, we find them in the Safeway and other regular supermarkets, and they don't cost that much, either. Fetzer's Bonterra Cabernet Sauvignon is delicious. Frey wines are biodynamic as well as organic. My favorite is an unusual choice, a white zinfandel, mostly not considered a high-quality wine, and usually it's not, but Frey's bottle is complex and wonderful, especially in the summer. Hardcore aficionados will shudder, but I like to put sparkling water and a slice of lemon in it. Thanks to the Obamas for opening the door to organic food at the White House!

Your facts are wrong. If we switched to organic, we would simply need to use better farming practices such as plant rotation, occasional fallow fields, grow plants together that repel each other's pests.
Organic farms (and there are many around) have at least as high yield as non-organic farms. And the quality is much much better and tastier.

Well shucks, who needs organic when he can have good 'ol Amerikan Fake Food. By golly, organic MUST be bad for us, just like clean water is. Nope, not me, you can give me dirty, polluted water 'o drink any day of the week to clean and healthy. Puts hair on the chest. And, by golly, jus' to be on the safe side I always bring a can 'O Raid or Black Flag with me whenever I goes to one 'O them there Leebral restrants, just so's I can spray my food - jus to beon the safe side. Don't want none 'O them leebrals tryin to cheat me out 'O my good 'ol red-blooded patriotic Amerikan food ingredients. Nope, no sirree bob.
I warnin y'all thems Leebrals are out to kill us with clean, healthy food. It's a conpiracy by golly and it's gotta stop!

Oh brother to read the sour grapes that are also so not organic on here is pitiful. What sore flippin losers.
Thank you Barack for trying to have some forward thinking and doing the right thing at the white house. Organic food is so important and it would do plenty if we all went down that road. It's just too bad that some people don't know how to drive there.

Pesiticides have some of the same properties as Agent Orange. Sewage , called sludge , is being used for fertilizer. Canada sprays it on farms without asking the farmers. Mexico ..where we get our strawberries uses raw sewage for fertilizer. When corporations control our food..profit is the number one goal.Big Agriculture is a huge lobby...if the truth were out in the open ...everybody would eat organic...and demand country of origin be on all labels.I applaud Obama for what he is doing.
