Opposition of the legalization of Marijuana... Do you have any good points? There are always morals but morals are imaginary and are defined by the individual. There are always the health hazards, but to bad they aren't even close to as harmful as alcohol and tobacco.

Look it isn't legal. As long as this country or the pharmaceutical companies regulate profits for themselves it poses a threat to these companies now. In the past americans were more judge mental they associated weed with losers now that we know more by trying it we know that its like alchol but much SAFER, it won't KILL youlike(Alcholism!!!) Will and the profitability for the economy is uncharted. Only one way to find out. Legalize it for the love of GOD that right I said it god is good and so is weed

Legalize it world wide. It's got an insane amount of uses. Look back 70 years ago and see how well it benefited everyone who grew it. Medicines that cured cancer(hash oil),textiles, rope, paper, food, etc etc etc. The reason it's illegal is because big pharma would lose trillions due to people having the ability to cure themselves without being thrown in jail.

I just heard it on the radio! IT'S BEING LEGALIZED IN WASHINGTON STAT!!! HELL YEAH!...What a truly great day to be an American xD. Only problem is the fact that you have to be 21 years old to purchase it and it's gonna have a 15% tax fee or was it a $15 tax fee? Eh to hell with it idc because it's about to be legalized lol.

Sticks and Stones may break my bones but a fatty joint will fix that.

As someone that was addicted to sugar for a number of year...and I am not joking.....marijuana would not be a problem.

The arguements againest are old agruements. Acohol is worse, with the quality of the high, the too much alcohol makes you sick and other things. Marijuanna makes you want to stay in place, no driving hopefull (achol takes the ace on that one)education on drugs and responsibility and stronger DUI laws would be good and and stress on moderation...for everything.

I don't know what the problem is especially with achohol and various "available" drugs out there.

i think that we should legalize it. it makes you have a good feeling and i believe that if it grows on the earth we should be able to do what we want and use it how we want. This is supposed to be a free country and we are supposed to have our freedom so y the heck dont they let us have it?

The DEA's strong opposition to legalizing marijuana makes me wonder if any single person in that organization has ever done any drug. They arrest the users and dealers on the street and label them as criminals when in fact they are too criminals themselves. The laws against marijuana are subjective and biased. Should they have the right to make arrests through laws based on opinion? NO! There is no evidence whatsoever regarding marijuana being a dangerous drug.

The biggest problem with our so-called "democracy" is that it isn't one at all -- it is a represantative republic. The citizens that are "represented" are the elite high-class of society with super-traditional views and beliefs. Meaning that the reason marijuana isn't legal because the rich traditionalists don't care enough about anyone else, especially under-class, who disagree with them. The opposers in this revolution are high class politicians, company owners, born-rich families, traditionalists, most democrats(ironically), and mother's of teens mislabeled as "drugees."

Don't get me wrong. There are those who abuse marijuana and become hazardous to themselves but never to an extent of hurting others. Also, it is literally impossible to overdose on marijuana. Why is it still a Class 1 Narcotic...? Answer me that with a legitimate, reasonable, HEALTH-BASED answer!
