So many could beifit, who would not? The police will have more time dealing with real BAD GUYS and leave the mellow pot smokers alone. Jobs would be another reason and taxes another. Not to metion the hard hit the Mexican drug lords would take not being able to make there billions in brown dirt weed. That how you fight drugs. We need a change in alot of the way we run this contry. Put the 25,000 troups in south korea on are borders, and lets make are own underware agian!!!!! GOD Bless America.

save billions of dollares on the war on drugs, save billions of dollares by keeping the people out of jail, make billions of dollares by taxing it and create jobs. sounds good to me, let the people have a choice instead of alcohol, tobbaco, and prescription drugs all of which have more harmful side affects . god bless america and the freedom of choice.

I just dont understand why they just dont leave well enough alone.My brother was forced to take synthetic drugs like aderal for his problems which put him into depression,when he was told to try canibus he found it works wonders,and it did for years untill he got caught trying to buy some. He Got a huge fine which he couldnt afford then lost his licence and lost his job ,and went to jail.
But he was doing just fine before the LAW stepped in and ruined his life.
Is this why people get into law enforcement? I thought it was to bring real criminals to justice. Down the road the projects are doing well selling meth why dont they bust them? Whats going on some one tell me so I can let my dear brother know and stop his confusion. and i dont want to hear its becouse its illegal becouse thats not good enough!

I really could care less about what people do in their free time. I am doing a research paper for my composition class and just happened to stumble upon what I think is the most ridiculous statement I've seen in all my research. The statement and I quote "Marijuana is actually supposed to help your brain out and make you smarter" has no backing. If you could please show me where this information came from, as long as there was reasearch conducted to prove this, that would be a great step in my research.

I for one believe marijuana should be legal. So many ignorant people that dont know the real facts about it say it should be illegal but if you all knew the truth about it you wouldnt say that. For one there has never ever been a recorded death from marijuana EVER. Everyone says it kills brain cells... Wrong it doesnt kill brain cells the person that did the testing suffocated the animals that they tested. They lost brain cells and died from carbon monoxide poisoning. Marijuana is actually supposed to help your brain out and make you smarter. Also the things marijuana could do to the economy. The U.S spends 13 billion a year trying to shut down the marijuana industry. Califorina made about 15 billions just from selling medical marijuana. Just wait until everyone can get there hands on it in califorina. That 15 billion will double if not more. Also wait until they add the other 49 states to legalize it America will completely change. No more recession. Marijuana is the most profitable crop in california beating out fruit and vegetables put together. So next time anyone wants to try to talk bad about the subject next time you need to do your research before you talk because you will sound really dumb.

Im skinny as shit,...marijuana doesn't make people fat at ALL you could choose to go work out, sure smoking makes you hungry but it doesn't make you eat about 10lbs of food in a day. Eating a lot, then sitting around doing nothing for the rest of your life makes you fat. Not marijuana. And there has been no case of marijuana smoking being "deadly"...you're a square. You're just like a high school's health book.

I smoke everyday now, there is nothing wrong with getting high. In fact, it helps me more than any drug I take (and I take many prescribed medications because I have Crohn's Disease) because it helps me with my school work ethic, and at the same time relaxes me when I want to settle down. It will boost the economy, boost public moral, and give us what the country should be all about...Freedom!

If the U.S government were to legalize marijuana, our economy would sky rocket because then they would be acle to sell marijuana and spend their money off the sale on products. In short if marijuana were to be legalized then the flow of money would Rapidly increase helping middle upper and lower class.

people who use it for pain is a whole other story but when you start using it when you dont need it there a very big issues that fall under that such as the side effects being deadly. when you smoke pot it causes your body to want to eat obesity is already huge in America!!!!
