The tax and spend has to be stopped. Republicans pay for themselves because they have dignity and pride. You pay for yourself! Gold diggers! You smoke and drink and now, we are supposed to pay for your health care? To Hell with you!

Obama Sucks the big one!!!!!!!

I'm not the kind of person - like this author apparently is - that finds it impossible to not spend that extra $13 right away. I might hold off until the end of the month when I'll have a total of $52 extra to spend. Then I can buy Obama's book and go out to eat too. And if I don't spend that money and instead, wait until 4 months have passed, I'll have over $200 dollars and can send my son to summer camp.

Just some better planning will make that extra $13 go a long way.

$13 x's 52 = $624....in the cold Northeast, that's 2 months (or more) of utilities. Did any Republican ever pay for your heat?

After reading all of these postings, it's obvious that no one will ever be happy. The American people just disappoint me..period!

I feel sorry for your children and the future they will have B***ing and complaining about money money money....

Why can't we just live life and stop complaining about who's doing or not doing what and the money problems that come with it.

Look I have no money, but I'm not complaining....but then again, I obviously have a fruitful life and I am happy!

You people are pathetic!

Peace!

The stimulus increase of $13 a week in your paycheck is a cruel joke being played on the American People by President Obama.

Unlike previous stimulus checks which counted as income, this ‘increase in take home pay’ is simply a reduction of your Federal Tax withholding – your prepayment of your Federal Tax obligation.

As of now there is no corresponding reduction in the Federal Tax Tables for 2010.

You will owe the same Federal Tax as before, yet your withholding has decreased.

This means that you could repay some to all of this in April 2010.

On the other hand, unemployment benefits go up $25 a week starting in April. That $25 is income and is taxed at the Federal Tax rate of around 10% to 15% for most folks. They get a net $20 to $22.50 a week to spend with no threat of a 100% repayment hanging over their head.

So the unemployed get more than those working.

Thank you Mr. President

Obama thinks it is okay to give us $13 a week and pass this on to our grandchildren a debt of $260 a week (in today's dollars, 10 fold that later years), for a family of four? A trillion dollars divided by 300 million is $3300 a year, >$65 a week. Do the math. We are doomed as a Country unless we stop this. It is like an individual having a credit card with $250,000 on it and thinking the way to pay for his electric bill is to charge more onto it. Our Government is doing just the opposite of what they tell people not to do. Never charge things you can not pay for. I am afraid that we, as the Country we knew, are done.

guess this country will soon be loudly laughed at. 13.00 a week

that will save the country

WELL LET'S SEE THAT WILL MOVE ME UP IN HIGHER TAX LEVEL, THAT MEANS THEY WILL TAKE MORE OUT OF MY CHECK. OH WELL I GUESS THEY NEED IT MORE THAN ME . LETS KEEP THE ILLLEGALS UP AND LETS MAKE SURE THE BANKS KEEP GETTING BIG BONUS'S OH I FORGOT NOW IT'S CALL REWARDS FOR RUNNING IT IN THE GROUND.WHY DON'T WE CUT OUR GOVERMENT DOWN. CUT THEIR PAY, STOP SENDING OUR JOBS OUT OF THE COUNTRY,LET THE BANKS AND ANY OTHER THAT ASK FOR BAIL GO UNDER. THEY DON'T BAIL ME OUT IF I WASTE MY MONEY!!
