I see more and more comments like:

Obama not following through on campaign promises, Obama not doing this, broke his promise, he did not do 'yada yada'.

Good Grief, cut the man some slack. Right now he has the economy tanking big time, foreclosures across the country, banks begging to be bailed out, more and more people becoming unemployed and A BUNCH OF GOP NEOCONS willing to sell main street down the tubes and still kissing @$$ of Big Business AND he has only been in office 3 weeks.

Let's trust that WE did the right thing when we elected him. If we believe in him he will believe in us.

Obama need not try to tell the military what to do on this, and I doubt he will. Rather, the military itself or Congress needs to be telling Obama that "don't ask, don't tell" is outdated to modern times.

Even General Colin Powell recently said he suspected that the military itself would be the force that initiates and expresses more tolerance for its gay members.
