Obama Faces Diversity Complaints: Too Many White Males

With the African-Americans making up about 12-13 % of the US population, only 1 in every 8 cabinet members or advisors should be African-American. It's not like there should be a 50% representation.

We have to get over the fact that we need representation on an exaggerated scale of one's ethnicity. Choose the best person for the job, and get over it.

Your absolutely right. I voted for the other guy too. Obama campaigned on change. I guess we'll see won't we.

maybe 4 and not fluent. Ms Rice could be fluent in Russian if she were dropped into Red Square with no translator for a month.

I swear, every time I read something about her, she's accomplished something new. Linguist, concert pianist, competition ice skater...everything but wife and mother.

But I agree, let Prez Obama pick the people he believes are competent and willing to serve. I voted for the other guy, but for some reason, I get the feeling the Prez Obama is going to have a lot higher ethical standards than we are used to seeing. That might be nice for a CHANGE!

I would like to see some more black appointees for major roles within Obama's cabinet and otherwise.

It would be inconceivable to think that there are NO BLACK OR HISPANIC etc.QUALIFIED candidates to fill some of these key positions.

There needs to be more of a balance based on QUALIFICATIONS AND ETHNIC BACKGROUND.

I LOVE PRESIDENT OBAMA but he needs a little nudging on this one.

Your comment was and is very offensive to me and my family. i do not lie it or appreciate it. A person should be pick and voted for by qualifications not color. I love and appreciate being white just as I would be if I were any other color. Do right by yourself and others and you will not care the color of your skin but your ability to accomplish and satisfy your own needs and stop blame your skin color!

In my opinion, the NAACP is more concerned with causing trouble than with looking for the "advancement" of colored people. They are a key source for instigating race troubles and issues rather than providing a service. Let me understand this correctly, the NAACP is concerned that our mixed race "president" does not have enough black people employed in his cabinet? If having a mixed race president of the United States is not a sign of equality, than I do not know what is.

I would like to encourage Congress to increase funding for fighting global poverty. The Borgen Project (www.borgenproject.org) has some great facts and ideas to help global poverty.

$30 billion to eliminate global poverty.

$522 billion on the U.S. defense budget.

There are 800 million people that go to sleep hungry every day, 300 million are children.

Perhaps it’s the right time for a leader to step up to the plate and appoint a large number of Jewish people to high offices. That shows his priorities are not based just about being Black and, promoting minorities at the same time.

Sometimes you need to look below the surface to see change you can believe in.

Cast out all you think you know and, look for truth.

Poor Barack, getting a taste of his own racist medicine.

1. Walter Williams and Thomas Sowell would fit the racial quota but they would tell the Truth about his Pork Barrel, Children's Indebtedness Program. Harry Reid would be irate!! The Truth!!

Are we really willing, without conscience, to impose Trillions of debt on our children for nothing but Waste? "Hope and Change" Baloney!

2. The biggest problem is that Dr. Williams and Dr. Sowell don't cheat on their taxes. That seems to be a prerequisite for Chicago DC. I hear Blago is available, Barack's homeboy!

3. At least Clinton's appointees who cheat on their taxes had the decency to drop out. Barack will be remembered for having a bigger house of ill repute than Bill Clinton. That is a true achievement. We thought that record would never be broken.
