Has anybody thought about the fact? When a criminal kills or mames someone who can not protect their selves the politions loose (2) votes. The criminals because he is a felon, and the dead victim. Now how many of our servents in Washington, and our state capitls, want to loose any votes.

Why is it I seldom hear the primary reason for the 2nd amendment. While self defense and hunting are important issues they pale in comparison to the real reason our founding Fathers included the 2nd amendment...they understood the nature of government is to be too big, intrusive, and oppressive and must be kept in check by armed citizens. Thomas Jefferson said "Periodically the tree of liberty must be refreshed with the blood of tyrants and patriots' another quote author unknown 'Politicians prefer unarmed peasants".Are we so afraid of the gun grabbers that we tap dance around the truth in the 2nd amendment.

I am trying to find out if this Chickenhawk ted nugent really did defecate in his pants prior to his draft board physical to avoid the Vietnam war. If this true he really is a role model worthy of our affection. 40 years ago this loser did not want to serve his country, and now he is all pro-war and gung ho about Iraq.

He is hardly worthy to be president, much less the great icon all the gun-toting idiots claim him to be. Put your money where your mouth is ted. You didn't have the balls to go and now all you can do is flap about how Iraq is such a great war. You are a Chickenhawk plain and simple.

The last president left one hell of a mess with his stupid war on terror. Maybe you can advocate the idiots who look up to you should go sign up. The war will be going on for a long time. After all, VP cheney is getting kickbacks from Halliburton. War is profitable.

To the peanut gallery, I am a gun owner and I did serve my country. I heard the same NRA rhetoric under Clinton in the 90's. He was going to come and get my guns. I still have them. Now they are just recycling their crap with Mr. Obama.

The NRA is full of it and ted nugent was full of it (at least his pants were 40 years ago).

I am pro anyone that is pro second amendment. People like Obama and Pelosi don't think you should have a right to defend your household. They would rather see you as prey for the common criminal. I will proudly stand behind ANYONE who will stand up for the 2nd amendment or any of our other rights. Put your stock in Ted.

You are speaking out your backside, ted nugent is more of a PATRIOT AND FREEDOM FIGHTER THAN YOU WILL EVER BE. Please do some research on Mr Nugent before you start spewing your woeful Ignorance.By the way, I am not one of those people you named in your diatribe. Mr Nugent has done more for educating our kids than you will ever even dream about,MA

I met Ted at a bowhunters rendevous in Michigan about 20 years ago. The way he spoke about bow hunting and his passion for it has impressed me since. Anyone who sticks to thier guns as he does is worthy of office of President. If only our previous commander-in-chiefs had stayed to their principles we would not be in this dilemma that we are in today.

In regards to campaigning for the NRA presidency - I think you should go by your gut feeling on whether you should run for that post, but if you do chose to run I would support you

keep up the good work
