Tales From The Inside: What Obama Told Republicans

As if the Republican agenda of the last 8 years delivered us from debt. No guess what? The Republicans did not veto one spending bill during Bush's fiasco of a tenure.

The push from conservatives that this is a center right country is just pure hogwash. If that were the case then wouldn't more of our leaders be Republican? How about issues like health care, which most Americans would now like to see the government take a greater role in, making it a center left issue? How about ending the war, is that a center right position? Conservative favorites like rolling back Roe v Wade and an anti-gay marriage amendment are so far on the back burner that they are now cold. And how about the economy? Most Americans are in favor of the Democrats proposal to stimulate the economy while the Republicans are pushing for more tax cuts and less regulation! No, this is a center left country and the Republicans need to face that fact.

they have noting to loose because their king is gone and left the country in financial peril.

They know that the blame CAN be passed on to Obama if they can just keep him a arms length as the time clock runs out on American workers.

tick tick tick tick.....

Baloney, this is not a center right country, Despite the corporate shills dominating Fox and talk radio, and the conservative ditto heads doing what they can do to bully the rest of the media. Americans are learning that the health care system, the banking and investments systems, and much of the non-union manufacturing and service sectors are being gamed for the profit of a few at the expense of the middle class.

By the way, Obama won with the largest mandate since FDR, despite the chorus of right wing name calling. Keep name calling. And obstruct, obstruct, obstruct. Your constituency will shrink, shrink, shrink.

I love the smell of republican whiners in the morning.

No1Dad of NJ -- “Crybaby”? Look in the mirror. You’re the one who seems thin skinnedf!! Obama's just speaking truth to Faux "news" and the Oxycontin Moron, Rush. It’s about time someone did.

Joan of VA – “They have the majority and don't need the Repubs so why are they scared” -- Actually, they do not have a filibuster proof majority in the Senate. So, playing a little nice will help to strip of the few moderate (i.e. sane) Repuglicans left. Also, Obama really seems to want to be a uniter, so he is not trying to steamroll over the nutbags and other assorted criminal repuglicans. Imagine that, which I realize based on the last 8 years of Bu$hitCo and the Rethugs, is very difficult to do.

Robert Crowley Metzinger of MO -- The Audacity -- Cripes!! Pull your head out of you know where. This is not a center right country, oh little one in denial. Read the polls, People like what can be done when We the People get together and help each other via the power of Government; OUR government, BTW. For example, was Bush’s failure to Pirate-tize Social Security lost on you (thank god!)?? The Dems do not want, nor need to silence you. Keep on spouting your blather and delusions, you are doing it to yourself just fine.

FightTheFuture of IL 11:58AM January 28, 2009

what are you afraid of? "can't kill them with kindness" ? what are you saying? Kill the dems, literally? I think silencing greed, irresponsibility and fear are good moves. Even if he's pushing a so called "leftist" agenda, whatever that means, what are YOU afraid of? greater distribution of wealth? I mean this just seems like anachronistic cold war fear. Kill the commies type stuff. Obama is capitalist I assure you. but letting this country go irresponsibly, without any financial regulation, (lets not even begin with health care and education) like it has the last 8 years, is not a good idea at all. Who are you Bernie Madoff?

I agree with you on one thing-the GOP definitely needs to wake up.

Thank you for repeating what your political guru told his sheep today. Please realize that folks of Rush's, Sean's, and BillO's ilk are politainers and not meant to be taken seriously. Free thinking intelligent people know this. But there are far too many people in this country who takes these folks comments as gospel.

Dennis Donoghue of OH 11:48AM January 28, 2009

Lots of folks on here are blaming the Republicans for this economic mess. "The failed Republican policies" or the "failed conservative ideology" is thrown around like confetti. Yet, not a single one of you have explicitly detailed these policies that are supposedly responsible for this mess. Do any of you really have a clue, or do you simply not know enough about economics to actually state which policies failed us. Sounds like a bunch of sheople on here if you ask me.
