Arizona State has a Journalism Department? When I tried to major in Journalism there in the late 1970's they were offering required courses every other year and had just hired some retired network clown to head things up. His goal in life was to get all the J-students to quit and transfer to the business school. Couldn't possibly be any worse now than it was then.

If Michael Crow is so interested in journalism, he should learn how to send out honest and truthful press releases. I can name a few that are riddled with factual errors.

Further, Michael Crow failed to discipline Dr. Charles Arntzen of Plant Biology for stealing a student's paper and publishing it as his own (see Arizona Republic 12/15/04 and the Chronicle of Higher Education 12/17/04).

Michael Crow should take a course in his own journalism school. He might learn a thing or two about truth in reporting.
