Its his party. He can do what he wants, can't he?

Mike of TX 2:23PM November 25, 2008

the word forego/forgo is one of those that can be spelled either way. Look in the dictionary!

of MD 2:22PM November 25, 2008

Sorry, buddy -- The Admiral is correct. Forego is the proper spelling of the word and it is the right word to use. Since you apparently do not have access to a dictionary, the word simply means: give up, do without, or pass by. Better luck next time :-)

Apparently reader100 isn't aware that "Forego" is also considered a correct variant of "forgo".

Conosticator of NM 2:19PM November 25, 2008

forgo or forego, both are correct, nitpicking be damned!

Jeffrey Walker of LA 2:18PM November 25, 2008

Forgo, forego, forgoe, fourgo, fourego and on and on. So many of the previous writers need to get a life!

David of MA 2:11PM November 25, 2008

What holiday was this party celebrating?

Stewart of KS 2:08PM November 25, 2008

A good symbolic move. Any taxpayer money saved should be used for holiday celebrations for TROOPS IN COMBAT ZONES, not REMF's. Now about the lavish inauguration plans. Eliminate any taxpayer money expenditures and just use the huge amounts that will be spent by the wheeler-dealers to curry favor with new administration. Save money and still celebrate!

David of MA 2:03PM November 25, 2008

forgo or forego are both accepted ways of spelling the word. JFGI.

Doomed of LA 2:03PM November 25, 2008

uhhh... Random House Dictionary and American Standard both allow for "forego", so I'm not sure where you went to school 'can't spell'...

or perhaps you never went to school?

lemme guess, you're an angry, anti-american, anti-military liberal who just wnats to be angry at SOMETHING, even if you have to make it up?
