Fans Push Palin for President in 2012

Governor Palin has the same type of "star quality" that Obama has, and that has the libs worried. She definitely has an impressive record that she can be proud of and hasn't held back on revealing the person she is rather than allowing herself to be created in some party's image--as Obama has done. As brilliant as that seems to everyone now, you will eventually need substance of character to maintain a position of leader of the free world AND hold your very liberal "friends" in check.

I think the liberals are so worried about the "possibility that is Palin" that they will spend valuable time in the next 4 years trying to destroy her, and in doing so, they will create more interest and sympathy for someone who will then emerge as a strong candidate. I agree that she will need a strong, charismatic running mate because the American public wants the Hollywood type to run our country. If we can find someone who is a Palin counterpart--character, values, political savvy AND the good looks--there's no stopping her. Check out the number of people already members of the Team Sarah website. It's moving like a juggernaut!

Are they serious? This woman whom Senator McCain touted as having such experience as Mayor and PTA member as a real candidate for PRESIDENT? Are they nuts? She is untested and desperately needs real political as well as executive experience that translates to more than serving as governor of a state with less than the population of New York City!!!

Have her run a real political campaign of her own, serve some time in the Senate perhaps to broaden her woefully narrow expereince.

We shouldn't want our nation's highest executive to be only "just like us", but rather in addition have the intellectual curiosity and global vision to represent this country on the world stage. When did intellect and consensus building ability, not to mention a thoughtful, deliberate manner become something we refuse to acknowledge much less want to support?

If Sarah Palin has proven anything, it's that running mates matter.

Here's another potential new wrench: can the shorter candidate win, if the shorter candidate is a different gender?

I think that in order for Gov. Palin to successfully face the liberal illuminati who are just resettling into Washington, it will be very important to consider potential running mates, if indeed she topped the ticket.

As much of a Palin supporter as I am, I also recognize her strengths and her weaknesses. She's really going to need someone who complements her well, in ideology, personality, and political acumen.

That being said, it's unwise to underestimate the Palin as she exists outside of a McCain filter: parts of her recent interviews were downright brilliant - for those who bothered to listen.

Palin's high approval rating right after her nomination can be seen as an outlet of un-met enthusiasm in the conservative ranks after a long and uninspiring campaign by John McCain, himself never the conservative's first choice. The subsequent decline in enthusiasm for her was a result of the electorate's learning how truly out of her depth Palin was. With her retreat to Alaska she's sure to remain on the fringe of national politics and short of the knowledge and exposure needed by a serious candidate for president. Any Democrat should welcome her candidacy (and hopeful party nomination) for the Oval Office in 2012...an almost cinch for a second Obama administration. The Republicans will have painted themsleves further into a narrowly-defined, reactionary political niche further out of touch with most Americans.

What a pointless waste that would be.

My pet yorkie is better suited to the presidency than Palin.

No sense trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

Keep us posted. I'd like to help the Governor.
