Lieberman May Get Away With Endorsing McCain

What exactly is Lieberman supposedly getting away with, an unprecedented bank heist?

No, just expressing intellectual honesty to his peers. So much for diversity of thought within the Democratic party.

The liberals are acting as if he's been reading a biography of Benedict Arnold, instead of simply acting on his conscience. If McCain had one, I could perhaps understand a little more of the liberal illuminati spleen being displayed. But Obama's in office. They didn't "lose anything thanks to him."

No free thinking tolerated in the capital!

Give me a break! How ridiculous to read that there is a possibility of Joe Leiberman being "punished" because of his support of McCain during the election! What kind of sick democrat ever brought that up in the first place! They are all

falling over backwards for Hillary......what about her "unkind" remarks about Obama during the debates! The democrat so-called leaders in congress all need their heads examined. Isn't this supposed to be a free democracy?

Nothing against the guy personally for doing what he felt he had or preferred to do, but Democrats probably remember that revenge is a dish best served cold. Joe is not going to know who his friends are and just may want to keep an eye on his back.

The old wasy of politics in Washington - the Democratic Army and Republican Army marching in lockstep in a winner take all fight for power. If that is what Obama wants, then the platform of change was meaningless. The problems of this country require that we all work together, respect each other despite differences of opinion, and keep the good of the country at the forefront. The good of the country is the most qualified person in each job and an end to the partisanship which has so crippled us ever since Watergate.

Remember, Joe Lieberman did not leave the Democratic Party, the Party left (rejected) him in the Demo primary. What loyalty does he have to the Democrats?

The Democrats feel "betrayed". Seems to me they should look in the mirror.

Lieberman obviously calculated his chances of being held to account for his actions. Seems like he knew what he was doing.

take him to the woodshed. no chairmanship!!! state demcratic party push for a recall.

This is not Lieberman "getting away" with something. This is Obama starting off with good leadership. An independent in the Dem column on most of the domestic issues is a plus. Rejecting the temptation to animosity is a plus. Not bashing McCain via his friend is a plus. Quit griping.
