...if USN&WR "exists" because of your one lousy subscription -- things are even worse than I thought.

Magazines in America are trying to shed subscribers who are unattractive to potential advertisers. Maybe Whispers is targetting "you" -- someone who thinks he is the only reader of the publication -- in the hopes of scaring you away and attracting a better demographic.

Hey, Ollie. I (the "of" above) have been subscribing to USNWR for 30 years. I am the reason the magazine exists. Who the heck are you?

Hey "of"

Who elected YOU to speak on behalf of "We, the readers"?

Losing a long-held seat in Congress can mean the "death" of a political career. It is a metaphor. In case you haven't noticed, Whispers engages in some colorful descriptions -- that is part of what makes it a fun read.

And speaking of self-absorbed jerks, unless you just bought the magazine (the entire business, not a single copy on the newsstand) please don't take it on yourself to decide who should get out of "our" magazine.

We, the readers, don't care about reporters games. As for "death list", what a crappy term. It's not "death", you self-absorbed jerks. If anything, it's a list of new winners to Congressional seats, and the defeat of some political incumbents.

Talk straight or get out of our magazine.
