i agree, its not fair for the taxpayers to pay for the mistakes of the ceo etc. I think the only way capitalism works is if you let the markety sort outall the problems itself. The only way globalisation works is to let the free market sort it out. When the rich make mistakes then the companies should fail. Atleast this will allow such companies to learn from the mistakes. Government handouts encourage more corporatons to be irresponsible. GOVT HANDOUTS IS MOST CERTAINLY NOT A SOLUTON!!!!!

Why bailout CEO's and Executives after they created multi-million dollar salaries for them selves, with outrageous bonus's????

They should be held accountable and forced to pay it back!

Their performance was horrible and should be charged with white collar crimes.

Business failure is just as critical as Business success to a market system. Companies who do not reflect the preferences of consumers will be forced out of the market or forced to adapt. Sometimes a business that was solvent and viable yesterday becomes insolvent today. Consumers have a right to put their money where they please. Saving a few zombies will only prolong the suffering. Jamie Dimon said of his companies 25 billion "We would think that loan volume will continue to go down as we continue to tighten credit to fully reflect the high cost of pricing on the loan side." So, this money isn't be used to inject liquidity into the market. This is being used to consolidate power in the financial sector.

We don't want to bail out the billionaires, that's not fair. The Bush Adm. along with the liberal illuminati think it's fair to give the CEO a pass, but what about the people?

What ever happened to the words "Reap what you sow"? If anyone cannot successfully reap from what he sows, he must regroup, sow something else and start over. If Corporate America isn't allowed to fail, the problems will continue. It will be something else at another time in our future history. I don't hear anything much in the media about the success stories of businesses who didn't get greedy and are still doing just fine. Bailouts by the government are rewarding failures. It doesn't matter if a company is 100 years old. It needs to fail, and the economy needs to realign itself, with the standards all companies began with "Reap what you sow".

Is this a reflection of a new class warfare in this country. A distrust of the rich and the powerful simply because they have those characteristics?
