So, what does former Bush Secretary of State Colin Powell get for endorsing Sen. Barack Obama? Probably nothing, since he has a been-there-done-that approach to further government work. But intelligence sources say it opens up the possibility that chief ally Richard Armitage, a McCain adviser, could win a top post in an Obama administration. Namely, as head of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, giving the Democrat the Republican he wants. One hang-up: He admits to "inadvertently" revealing spy Valerie Plame's name to columnist Robert Novak. Other names in the mix: the 9/11 commission's Tim Roemer, former CIA executives John Brennan and Joan Dempsey, and former acting CIA Director John McLaughlin. Meanwhile, we hear that Richard Clarke, former Bush antiterrorism ace who blasted the prez after quitting, is a potential Homeland Security secretary.
