Especially when the GOP want a special, and the liberal illuminati politicians want the works.

You can watch Domino's Pizza customers voting in real time, displayed by state, starting fresh every night. Might help the candidates identify what state they should concentrate on. ;.)

The blame for this whole "Fascists said, Socialists said" BS in American politics can be put square on the shoulders of King Karl and his hate machine. Toss in the average voter's inability to fully read both sides positions (most prefer to have it paraphrased by the proponents of their candidate of choice), the laziness of most voters in actually researching the issues involved (how it may impact things, good and bad) and the asinine idea of voting for one party because of 'tradition' in the face of rapid change in party performance on key issues (fiscal responsibility being one of them) and you get some pretty moronic and acrimonious viewpoints.

Throw in an unedited, mostly pointless 'blog report' and you get a lot of people arguing about nothing in particular as if the fate of the free world hangs in the balance.

It doesn't.

Liberals predicted the end of the United States when Bush was elected, and though they're only half right, I expect the country will survive whoever is elected in 8 days.

It can't happen soon enough.

If you look at the victories and failures of the civil rights movement and its litigation strategy in the court, I think where it succeeded was to invest formal rights in previously dispossessed peoples so that I would now have the right to vote, I would now be able to sit at a lunch counter and order, and as long as I could pay for it, I'd be OK. But the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth and the more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society, and to that extent, as radical as, I think, people try to characterize the Warren court, it wasn't that radical; it didn't break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the Founding Fathers and the Constitution.... One of the, I think, tragedies of the civil rights movement was because the civil rights movement became so court focused, I think, there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributive change, and in some ways, we still suffer from that. You can craft theoretical justification for it legally, and any three of us sitting here could come up with a rationale for bringing about economic change through the courts.

I would have liked to have known if Reps liked more "red meat" on their pizzas and if Dems buy more veggie ones.

Good comment, Tolny! Maybe you have more Indies and 3rd parties for customers! They have more discriminating taste!

It has been proved over and over that Obama's plan helps Joe and his dreams of owning his business. McCain's plan does nothing for Joe. Obama will give tax breaks FOR new small business, and give them tax breaks if the provide health care.

But more importantly is explaining the idea that Joe acts like he can't afford to go into business because his taxes will be too high. The facts are that if Joe's business makes over 250,000 in taxable income (that's the key) he will pay an additional 3% on the amount over 250,000.

John Grant - maybe you can get a fulltime job smearing peoples reputations after the election fulltime. What a joke! No way you address Joe's actual question, instead you attack Joe! Joe didnt lie - he has explained himself sufficiently. He wants to own a business - will an Obama administration make that easier or more difficult? The answer is more difficult, but no way will you talk about that.Cause you might lose that argument. Deflect, sidestep, attack the person. Read your own lips - Obama is raising taxes next year. Hope for a change? This is no change - Same Old Democrat playbook.

Joe the Everyman of OH 8:26AM October 27, 2008

Maybe Joe the "Plumber" can get a job making you pizza after the election. McCain won't need him anymore. He's not licensed to be a Plumber. He lied, "read my lips."

The small independent local Pizza shops, like our neighboring diRaimo Pizza shop, make far better Pizza then socialist Dominos ever will make.
