Obama and McCain: Drinkers in the Oval Office

September 21, 2008 RSS Feed Print

Good news on the booze front. No matter who wins on Election Day, a drinker will be returning to the Oval Office, which has been dry for eight years. If Barack Obama replaces the teetotaling President Bush, look for fine wine or a nice microbrew to be poured at the end of the day. And if it's John McCain, he likes it all but is especially keen on vodka and Bud Lite.

It is about time. If soberism does this to our country, maybe a little relaxation will help "the deciders" really lead with wiser decisions for the benefit of the most.

We do need to think people first instead of Money first.

Obama may have a beer but his ethic is framed in pot during the Viet Nam War Resistence like the rest of his generation. McKain's addiction to vodka is alocholism and his ethic was formed when the Viet Nam War was foisted on us by a bunch of barroom brawlers and consistent with his present ethic: It's OK to kill people to make a point.

I think the White House and every house should stay hard-liquor dry; wine and beer are different.
