As Sen. Barack Obama gets set to announce his running mate, there is growing evidence that his backers and the public in general do not favor an Obama-Clinton ticket. In our exclusive Washington Whispers poll, Obama's success in ending the Clinton era was cited by nearly 1 in 3 as his best aspect, right behind his liberal-progressive positions.

As the Democratic Party gets ready for its presidential nominating convention in Denver, what aspect of Sen. Barack Obama do you like most?

Liberal-progressive positions 34%
Ended the Clinton era 30%
Youthfulness 25%
Mixed-race background 11%

Source: The Synovate eNation Internet poll was conducted August 13-15 among 1,000 nationally representative households by global market research firm Synovate.

Never wonder why the Democrats lost.

people like me believe in greater men and women thatn Obama.

I am fully willing to follow the leader deserving if she becomes Independent, but if not then I will vote for the next best candidate.

John McCain.

Who are you polling, because it is not me.

I always wonder who you all poll and how many and what states, etc.

I have been a democrat all my voting life and because Ms Hillary got cheated by the DNC and media, well, I will not be voting democrat. It seems all of a sudden it is not about just being a DEMOCRAT, but the person and for now it is McCain.

Nobama is NOT presidential material and Joe Biden will not help his lack of experience.

Nuff said, except 'WE WILL REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER'

John Edwards caused Hillary to lose. Hillary went down hill after one of the debates when Edwards was on her case. If the Democrats are defeated this time with the war and state of the nation being as bad as it is the Democrate needs to go away for good. Hillary would be 10 points or more in front if she was running.
