On the Other Hand, Bush Workers Stay!

August 15, 2008 RSS Feed Print

White House Spokeswoman Dana Perino pinged us this week to question our sources who said they've received word that that the president wants junior workers to begin their job search so that they're not left high and dry come January 20. It was explained to Whispers that it was characteristic Bush looking out for his loyal gang.

But Perino says Bush has told staffers something different and likely more in line with his pledge to keep the pedal to the metal until January 20. On our item, she E-mailed, "That's exactly the opposite of what he told all political appointees at a reception in the East Wing two weeks ago. Please feel free to check this stuff with one of us - dp."
