I love you your too right. You"re incredibly intelligent! This is free speech so here goes! Obama is a terro Socialist! He's an idiot! An evil man completely vile , I hope he doesn't get a dog,if his feelings of abortion are the same with puppies as with human young!

I love animals and if you do too do not support Peta

Support charities that are non-kill and know things about animals! Peta you are sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so, were the bushes encouraged to 'adopt'?

kevin of GA 9:31AM January 14, 2009

What' s the priority, letting dogs enjoy the American dream of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, or letting the billions of innocent preborn babies that are aborted enjoy it???!

I sincerely hope that they will adopt not one, but two dogs, as every species deserves companionship with its own kind.

Of course I hope that they will only adopt rescued dogs. Breeders should be put out of business. They only create hyper, inbred, sick animals and we have tens of thousands of poor shelter animals needlessly put down every year due to greedy breeders.

I think that breeding should be declared illegal and only allowed in extreme cases to avoid extinction of a species. Aside from the horrible deformities that breeding creates (for example, a whole litter of poodles with mouth disease, no teeth and who continuously tremble, that I just saw at the shelter) the poor animals stuck on breeding farms are often kept in shockingly cruel conditions, such as stuck in a crate all day long where they can barely turn around.

The Obamas have a great opportunity here to set an example of compassion for the world and call attention to animal rights issues, and I hope that they will do just that.

The only reason the Obama household chose to adopt a mutt is to appeal to the American public. Its all an image, it doesnt mean that he in any way expresses sincerity towards abandoned dogs, he just knows that it will put him in a good light. I personally dont give a pit bull's ass what kind of a dog our next president adopts, what I do care about is his social security, medical and war policies.

I love PETA

you need to be careful what you hear

PETA does euthanize animals, but only when they have been abused beyond belief, and the likely hood of them living a good life is unlikely

PETA organizations exist because humans usually make bad decisions when it comes to an animals well being.

many humans buy animals and then abandon them, or care poorly for them when they realize that animals are too much work , or they are not cute anymore

as humans we need to be more responsible when it comes to breeding animals - care for the ones already populating the earth

vs. buying them like they are accessories

If humans did the right thing - PETA wouldn't even exist

there is a need for someone to speak for those who cannot

PLEASE adopt a mutt Obama! Rescue a sweet little puppy from the shelter and please don't go buy a pure bred. SAVE A PUPPY!

Obama, if you want the lobby money from PETA...oops I mean the USHS, then you better do what terrorist ask...oops again, they are not terrorist, they just hire them. ROFLMAO! What makes owning a purebred wrong and elitist? HMMM, Could it be PETA and HSUS doesn't profit from it? And there are thousands of true Non-Kill rescues that have not been tainted and left in shambles by PETA. There are advantages and disadvantages to both the mixed breed, and the full breed. Leave it to an anti-animal group such as PeTA to call them mutts. And I always recomend a shelter as a place to begin looking for a loving family member. And it is not just about the breed, it also about the breeder. There is too much information that needs to be adressed by the family, the shelter or breeder. LEt me say this and then be done. A "Professional Breeder" or one's that breed for show, has spent, many of them, 30 + years with their breed. Their only concern is will that puppy be just as loved and cared for in 15 years as it is before it leaves the breeder. PeTA, has a record of killing many many many dogs and throws them in the garbage. While taking in millions of dollars a year supposedly to protect them. Did I mention TAX FREE millions of dollars. Then the money is used to bribe our government officials, such as Barak Obama, into pushing through the laws that allows Peta to take control of and destroy organizations such as the extremely lucrative and powerful USHS. Now Peta has added another 250 million a year to their pockets. But Peta had a problem The animal shelters. So They Changed the rules. And said we no longer are responsible for your city facilities. We are now a law making body. So the only real money they spend is on bribes to the governments. While the shelters are forced to thrive on their own. So Obama, I say a shelter dog is a good thing. But why are you all of the sudden and after a long time without one do you want one? IF you win, the dog will be going from the birth place, the shelter, your home, and again to the white house. When will dog feel he is in a stable enviroment? And how much money is at stake over the life of a dog, that I don't believe you want anyway? And does the breed of dog owned by the commander in chief really make everyone run out and buy that particular breed? This is stupid and Peta is getting desperate to make such a statements that are unfounded and ludicrous. And we have to send a message to our government, that it is time to end all of this non-sense and slap Peta across the face and send them to thier rooms with out and soybeans.

he should be able to choose, with the help of his family. if he wants a purebred dog. to hell with peta, they kill as many dogs as they save, they are a sham. if he chooses a purebred dog, i hope he is informed enough to get one from a good breeder. if he chooses a shelter dog, good for him. what ever he does, i'm going to vote for him.
