Fashion Rules: What a Croc

U.S. troops don't get much of a chance to demonstrate their fashion prowess, so when Crocs recently showed up at PXS in Afghanistan and other Middle East bases, they were an instant hit. Facing tough rules requiring that all troops wear fatigues or prescribed T-shirts and shorts bearing their military branch logo, the ugly plastic shoes have became a fashion statement. But even Crocs-wear is regulated: They can be worn in some dining facilities but mostly just in the showers.
