I understand Mrs. McCain not only volunteers with Operation Smiles, but works with the clearing of mine fields. The lady, and I do mean lady, is worth a great deal whether dressed to the nines or in casual clothes. There's no shame in having EARNED her money and her right to hold her head high. I personally think as first lady she would be a great example of openness, gentility, and benevolence for young women and men alike. Kudos to the McCains.

cindy mccain is a kind, loving, and decent human being. to the gentlemen who hates cindy mccain because her family was in the beer distribution business. all of these poor children throughout the world, their faces MUST be fixed and mended with love, kindness, medical expertise, and monetary support. cindy mccain has always been on the frontline of helping childen. her efforts are real and her donations of love and caring of also real. john mccain must feel so lucky to have a wife that loves children, all children. cindy mccain is a beautiful human being, inside and out. mrs. mcain if you are reading this, you are so special to so many people throughout the world. keep up the good work. the worlds children will never forget you. thank you and god bless you.

Last time I looked, selling beer was legal...and will be for a long time (unless the Democrats find a way to outlaw that too)-oh, wait-the government tried that one time, didn't it? Didn't work out too well.

I am not a beer drinker (hate the stuff),but to insult someone and their family who have made their money THE OLD FASHIONED way is petty and childish.

Is it just the brewers you hate or anybody who has more money than you do?

I salute anyone who gives of their precious time, money, and energy to help a child. These children are truly the needy, and an operation can make such a big difference in their lives!

Why does it matter that the money to support operation smile comes from beer? It puts smiles on childrens faces that would otherwise be hidden. These children have the opportunity to eat and drink like everyone else. What kind of news are you looking for? The real news is she is helping many children across the world, what are you doing to help?

You have to see the pictures of Cindy McCain and her daughter in Bangkok. This is our potential First Lady and she is dressed like she is going to the gym. And to add insult to injury, she is usually dressed to the nines. It makes me so angry. The picture of her in a tank top, shorts and a baseball cap in a Buddhist temple makes me want to scream. I don't understand why she is not "dressed".

It is mind-blowingly disrespecful.

It would be interesting to know how many people who put down Mrs. McCain and the reporting done here drink beer. I personally do not. I'm not doubting it is a social ill and all that comes with it, but let's see our country try to banish it again. It wouldn't happen today because we are more interested in our own personal liberties to care about the well being if the country. Besides I'm not at all surprised that God is using money from a social "sin" to bless others. He can use whatever He likes. Profits are going to be made on beer if we like it or not. At least Mrs. McCain is doing something to reach out to those in need in this world. What are we doing?

I am going to vote against McBush in November. Having said that, it would be churlish and petty-minded not to express gratitude and admiration for Ms. McCain's philantrophy.

It's not a matter of "suspecting" Mrs. McCain or discounting the value of her helping children through Operation Smile. It is a matter of balancing admiration of her generosity with a clear understanding of the exact source of her funds for charity work. That source is profiteering on BEER, and neither USNWR nor most any of the corporate media people will tell you that. And the reason they won't is to avoid (properly) offending the sensitivities of the real church conservatives. This is a continuing problem.

Daniel David of NM 10:11AM June 17, 2008

How can anyone suspect Ms. McCain? She is a true patriot!!
