Northern Virginia Loves Obama, but What About the Rest of the State?

I'm S-I-C-K, tired, and disgusted w/ these know-it-all Big Whigs from NOVA -->

The tides, they are a turnin' and ROVA will finally be able to have its say in the allocation of revenue to the Commonwealth...

Until then, Jimmy and Timmy need to fix the state's 1.5 billion+ deficit W/O raising real estate taxes...

I doubt they can --> they're all nitwits (M. Warner, Webb, McEachin, Wilder, the Morans, Kaine, Richmond City officials, etc.) --> It's high time for every one of them to get the boot.

Pardon me if I puke...

Let's set the record straight at once.

Make no mistake -- McCain does NOT seek CHANGE; he champions only +++POSITIVE+++ CHANGE. (Lil' Timmy Kaine and Jimmy "Hothead" Webb can say otherwise until they're both blue in the face...Both are still WRONG.

Obama/Webb is a real winner!

His politics are perilously close to socialism. He advocates vast government expansion and intrusion. He will seek to restore the welfare state, and never declares any sort of independence from the ideological base of the Democratic Party. He's trying to run from his radical record, and it likely will not work.

And I say this as a moderate Democrat, who detests Bush and HIS radical conservative dogma with every fibre of my being.

We need someone closer to the center. Someone who is not an ideologue. I will be voting for the first time for a Republican for President and I will have no problems punching the button for John McCain.

I am sorry to say I voted for Bush. I think he has destroyed the United States. We have lost freedoms, lied to get us into war and our economy is in shambles. I know this winter there will be record deaths from the elderly and poor not being able to afford heat because of the high cost of oil.

I will be votong for Obama, I don't think he can magically fix things but Bush/McCain put us here and offer no plans to dig ourselves out of this mess. They have basically said,"let them eat cake". John has said nothing should be done America will eventually come out of it, sure them and their friends will be fine because they are all rich. Cindy vast fortune will asure John has bread on the table, as for the rest of us,"let us eat cake".

Civil servant, retired Marine, Reagan loving Republican! I am voting for Obama. I had an older republican neighbor lady tell me,"I never thought I'd see the day I would vote for a colored man for President but I am voting for Obama".

Admire John's service, but that is all he has and he is well past him prime. By that I mean he is wrong on everything, and if he isn't he will be tomorrow when he changes his stance. I hope his "problems" are he IS senile, hate to think someone was acting like he is because of other reasons. Kind of feel sorry for him, he gets facts wrong every time he opens his mouth, doesn't remember what he has said and can't even speak well, it is embarrassing, maybe 8 years ago he would have been great.

I don't agree with Obama on every issue, but I know the biggest problem facing America is the undo influence of special interests and lobbyists and I KNOW the only chance to give the power back to the people is Obama. Everything else doesn't matter if Washington is being run by special interests.

And there is the universal question..... are you better off today then you were 8 years ago? Is the country better off today then it was 8 years ago?

I live in Yorktown VA, where George Washington won our independence, and I am for Obama. If you look at the issues our country faces, and there is no question who is the best candidate.

"Obama will likely win Northern Virginia, Richmond, and maybe the Tidewater"

Most of the state population is in those three metro areas.

With a dramatic increase in black voters and with the economy slumping, Virginia will go Obama. Even my Lynchburg relatives who have voted Republican since Eisenhauer plan on voting for Obama this year.

M Plante of WA 7:34PM June 06, 2008

Virginia will go for Obama this year. The wave of change is in the atmosphere. I have never been so excited and so engaged in the political process in my life and I am 45 years old. We are the ones we have been waiting for. Yes We Will!!!
