Hillary Clinton Tells Us Why She’s Staying In

Hillary Clinton just E-mailed us--Dear Paul--to explain why she’s staying in. Seems she thinks rival Sen. Barack Obama isn’t the kind of champion the nation needs.

Dear Paul,

There are some people out there who want to declare this race over now, before all the ballots have been counted or even cast. There are some who say they don't know why I'm in this race. So let me tell you why I'm still running.

I'm in this race for everyone who needs a champion. For the hardworking families who are losing sleep over gas prices and grocery costs and mortgage payments and medical bills -- but who never lose that American can-do spirit and optimism.

I'm in this race for the more than 16 million people like you who have supported me -- for the people who have put their hearts into winning this race. You never gave up on me, and I'll never give up on you.

We are in the homestretch. After sixteen months, there are only three weeks left to compete in the final contests. With your help I'm going to keep fighting until every last American has a chance to be heard, and as we learned last night in West Virginia, I know we can win.

Contribute now to keep our campaign going strong.

I'm also in this race because I have the best chance of beating John McCain in November and putting America on the right track.

We proved something in West Virginia last night -- a state every Democratic president has won since 1916. And we proved something in a few other battleground states that have a history of picking presidents. Pennsylvania. Ohio. Arkansas. New Hampshire. New Jersey. New Mexico. Nevada. And, yes, Michigan and Florida.

I am in this race, and so are you, because we both know the stakes in this election are too high to stay on the sidelines.

So let's keep going together, you and me. Let's keep driving our campaign forward, and let's keep winning.

Make a contribution today to help me win.

I want to thank you again for the incredible generosity of spirit you have shown over the course of this campaign. Together, you and I are going to make history.

Thank you,

Hillary

your in this race for yourself and no one else. your so hung up on your importance that you think no one is as good as you. i have news for you. you are not my champion and you are not my idea of a president. i wish we could find a women to run for presidcent. you are not her. you want it for what it will give you. power and money not for what it will do for me. so stop the lying and be honest for a change. oh forget it that's something you cannot do

You are right about both main points. We are responsible and no one will do anything about it. People are lazy and will just follow who ever is out there wanting to lead because its easier to follow than lead. History does paint a gloomy picture. People don't know how to do something better though they don't know how or even that they can change the way things are done. And even if they do they are smart and busy having fun or to lazy or to depressed to stand up and go against the main stream. People will just float down the river and pretend that that is motivated movement. Don't expect much. What are you doing by the way besides just yelling for everyone to wake up? Got any real suggestions? I know you told us all to pray for direction o ask our conscience for guidence or something like that. But have you recieved any revalations by doing that? Come on, I'm with you but I don't have any great inspirations. I wish I was rich enough to move to a nice quiet island and let the mighty men and women work it all out or not. But I think one thing for sure is the masses will just do what ever is put in front of them, or not. I think that of potential voters out there less than half vote I could be wrong I don't know the stats anymore but I don't vote. I think the whole electoral college thing is garbage who needs it. But I don't do anything to change it. I would love to but I too just seem to go with the flow even I know it's no good and I'm not helping even myself, but I really don't know what to do so I do nothing. So again, any substantial suggestions or were you just ranting? I know ...pray about it, right?

Candidates are nothing more than selfserving glory hogs who only care about their own name being recorded in history books. WHy is everyone so narrow minded. you all cant even look outside the box much less think outside the box. is there anything wrong with flushing the toilet on all of these bums floating in it. Dems. Repub. whats the difference. has anyone out there ever read the writings of the founders of this nation. of the history of the development of the Constitution and its changes over the years. some good some bad. how about the fall of Ameriaca a few times in the past and its rebuildings. Are you all just TV sound bite drons. Sorry for the retorical Q. Cant you please just wake up if even for a few minutes. look around you. Where is this nation where has it been where is it going where should it go and why and who and how is going to help it get there. you are all acting so robotic it sickens me you party loving racist sexist militaristic pacifist bunch of sterotypes. which ever one you are please try and think for just a bit. As messed up as this country is right noe the way it goes is the way the world goes. like it or not. Do the right thing even if it isnt popular. who cares what a poll says or what your gang of whatever thinks. Ask your personal gog or your conscience if you dont believe in god for the truth to awaken in your hearts and stream coherently into your minds so that you can act on it. the world is what you make it. Being An American makes you more responsible than anyone in the world and more important than anyone in the world too. maybe thats to heavy for you, well get out then because you will be ultimately held responsible. The worlds fate is in the hands of individuals with free will. turn off your TV open your mind think act . I know these are just wasted words, no one will think you will all just react to what is put in front of you by someone else, I feel so sorry for God , the people of the world and you. and especially all of these pompass candidates who say they are do gooders. some or all may have the right heart it is not for me to judge, but by looking at the history books its doubtful. and maybe you all know where the road paved with good intentions leads. Good luck everyone you all need it as you gamble your lives away on a handful of wishes and sound bite thinking by everyone involved in the process, and believe me I am not an anarchist. I love the potential of America no one has a greater chance thaan us to do the right thing. but its pretty clear there is less than a .00001% chance of that happening
