Another great "get" by our friends at Alexander Autographs Inc., the firm that auctions off American memorabilia like presidential letters. It’s this Feb. 17, 1983 letter from former President Ronald Reagan to a film fan, bragging on the best movies he ever made. Here’s what Alexander wrote about it: "Fine condition. 'King's Row' (1942) depicted the dark side and hypocrisy of provincial American life as seen through the eyes of five children as they grow to adulthood at the turn-of-the-century. 'Voice of the Turtle' (1947) was the story of a young actress who agrees to date a soldier (Reagan) on a weekend pass, after he's stood up by her worldly friend. Unable to get a room, Reagan ends up spending the weekend with the girl at her apartment. Both have to fight temptation as they become attracted to one another. Very good condition."

At the upcoming April 29-30 auction they expect the letter to fetch $1,500-$2,000.
