With a nasty crack screaming across the Tomb of the Unknowns monument, authorities are soon to settle on a fix for one of the star attractions at Arlington National Cemetery. But officials tell Whispers that the public won't be inconvenienced when visiting the tomb or watching the changing of the Army Old Guard, as the work will be done at night when the tomb is normally closed. John Paul Woodley Jr., assistant secretary of the Army, says that the patches will happen "when the public will not be confronted with something they would not expect to see. . . . we would not tolerate disruption of the honors paid."
