Rudy's Tree Has Presidential Roots

One of the most prominent homes in Dublin, N.H., is giving new meaning to "presidential timber." It's owned by Republicans Joseph and Augusta Petrone, longtime Bushies, in whose yard former President Taft planted a tree, as did Mark Twain—he planted two. Now comes the 2008 presidential primary race and a new tree: the Giuliani tree. Rudy Giuliani and wife, Judith, watered the seedling just last week (there's a picture on the Whispers website) and the Petrones made the couple promise that if they win the nomination or presidency, they'll return to plant it.
