Dear leo,

I so appreciate what you are doing for awareness. Your efforts are especially meaningful to me, as I am a 58 yr old Dramatic Arts teacher who gets easily caught up substitute teaching Science and Phyical education. I was a choreographer and Swim Coach over 30 years. It was doing a year's teaching at John Muir Middle School in Milwaukee and making an enviromental classroom with the concept of Rainforest studies and the saving of the Peruvian Rainforest as it provides not only unknown cures for biology on earth, but providing 30 % of earths oxygen, destruction there greatly contributes to seasonal changes. I tried showing "An Inconvienant Truth" to all the schools I could while teaching till I was one day called in and I guess enough complaining from a few parents and I was blacklisted at my job as a tree hugger. It was the highschool students who made it into a big joke, who made a "Children's Hour out of it, and finally one year, I was laid off and told it wasn't prudent to place me again. I am a single mother with two grown and on their own, but I still think of those days when kids were awakening the world to the age of aquarius and gave adults permission to once again use their education to have great thoughts. I have many ideas to help bring what I call the sleepers to their feet, but as Michael Jackson said in his song CRY; I can't do it by myself. You hear politicians kicking Global Warming around, but it takes beloved people whose integrety can't be stopped like you. I have a son I haven't seen much for a long time,since he was 17 because he is out to prove something to himself as a high ranking champion. he has so many similarities to you, that I always watch your acting whenever i miss him, and have a good cry. I absolutey get that catharsis with BLOOD DIAMOND. Took friends to see SHUDDER ISLAND more than twice (I was an activist in mental illness abuse as well) thankyou for your work. It stands as witness to me not to give up. Your acting is so honest you deserve a writer who can deliver your soul. I believe you are an indigo child, and have recently written to you about a film idea. Hoping you don't take it personally about the nominations. I guess they had to give the other poor guys a chance and Hoover 's abstract presentation had no room after they let Hugo in. The Human measure of your talent is far above. You are very special. I 've taught for over 30 years and covered people territory, and what qualifies me to say it, is being an indigo myself, having contracted here to educate young indigos having a hard time. Keep up the good work. We need your work. kathryn. PS I recently moved to Florida to take care of my mother at home who is 93. i have a couple of liards who visit me often; one on my terrace, and one lives in the side mirror of my car. They both come out to stare me down, and because I am a niece Dr. Frank Bencriscutto italian conductor from U of Minnesota, I play music alot. I they they like my singin. (smile)
